It was difficult to regulate the temperature between the 2 levels in my room.

The late check in time of 4:00 p.m. (additional charge of $35 for 12 p.m.). But you can drop off your luggage for holding in the office. The open grass parking lot was a half a block away. I could hear occupant walking on upper level.

I loved the charm of the residence with balcony over looking the pool. Security code for entering building from street and security code for room (small apartment). There were local bars for entertainment and cafes all walking distance.

Leaky kitchen faucet , no vending /ice machine, small amount of parking provided, no elevator.

Clean, roomy suite, staff was great, felt secure, coffee, towels, dishes supplied . Staff helped with luggage.

Our room needed some repairs such as the blinds were taped together but still didn’t work. The coffee machine only worked if I held the pot up to the filter section. The carpets had been vacuumed but needed to be deep-cleaned. Ouf room was at the back and so it was quiet, but our family at the front had street noise as well as guests coming and going all night.

The location and the antique-type furnishings. Blue, the front-desk person, was friendly and helpful.

Dead leaves everywhere; all over the courtyard and in the pool. The light outside our room was out, making it hard to see the keypad at night. We notified the staff and was told “ It’s on the list”. Five days later, still not fixed.( how hard is it to replace a light bulb?)

Parking lot is small and made of grass. Area is dangerous looking especially at night.

Beautiful room. The area is kind of “seedy” looking though. But I would recommend it for anyone looking for an old creepy hotel.

Carpet in bedroom is deeply dirty, stained and worn — needs deep cleaning or preferably replacement. Electrical outlet covers are missing. Light at top of spiral stairs wasn’t working.

Cleaning could have been better. Staying on the third floor was quite a few stairs, especially if you’re out late and had a few. Also, heat rises. It was much warmer upstairs than down. The hot water for the shower didn’t heat up our first morning, but the person at the front desk came up and fixed it and it was super hot there after!

The location is perfect! Between the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. Very cool old building with a history.

The number of stairs to get to our room. We were using the sofa bed as a bed, so that left us no room to really sit and chat.

The service was great. It was homey and the location was perfect! There was a fully equipped kitchen too!

Ceiling fan in bedroom needs light bulbs replaced, also dust is so bad it is coming over the other side on the blades. Light fixture over the spiral staircase needs bulb replaced. Needs fresh soap daily as the soap is so thin it breaks in half when using. Towels should be replaced in the bath by staff. Only decaffeinated coffee was available in the kitchen which neither of us likes.... We were ok going up the spiral staircase to the bedroom in # 10 however you should let people know before booking it is a narrow staircase and steep.

Very loud at night- courtyard causes a lot of sound amplification. Ground floor you will hear every move of those above you.

Unfortunately, we were on the first floor and sounded like we had a herd of elephants above us. Additionally, the office closes at 6 pm so quiet hours were not observered and the place was pretty loud after returning party goers came back from experiencing NOLAs nightlife.

Our room 10 had weird fitted old curtains- you could lean down from the outside and see inside. It took me a while to fit it for privacy. The other I used a chair to keep the curtains close to window. A lil better job cleaning we found 2 pills on the floor behind the recliner and someone left behind charger- the Crimean upstairs was so dusty it causes a sneezing fit when turned on. The top of the fridge was ignored. Also upon going out I have the habit of checking doors. The second set of double doors was unlocked from the outside! Had I simply trusted the door with the electronic lock and walked off for the day - all of our belongings wouldve been vulnerable to possible theft!

Close to activities. One block from the quiet lower end of Bourbon street- 3/4 mile to the action- short walk to Jackson Square- liked the loft concept. Nice old world charm.
