Expensive for what you get. Lots of good four star boutique hotels in Austin for around the same price with a lot more charm. Restaurant was expensive - we had two burgers and two drinks and the bill with tip was around $90. Parking costs $56 a night -no lie - the most I have probably seen anywhere.

Nice facilities and great view of lake from room. Restaurant on site has good food overall. Everything was clean, elevators were fast,, and check in was easy.

I will not be asking for extra amenities to be placed in the room for the extra cost. After calling repeatedly to confirm the room would be set up before arrival and being promised it would be. It was not. It was a surprise for my husband and it was a big let down. I had to call down to see where it was. It did show up promptly after calling, but I was still let down. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

The view was nice. The staff was wonderful!

Room was underwhelming, grubby fridge in the middle of the room, booked top floor river views and was looking out onto a tower construction, asked to be moved which was done with no fuss and quickly only to be in a similar position when looking out the window. Had to be close to the window then turn left to see the river. Rooms small, definitely expected more from the JW Marriot.

It is not in our opinion the best suit for a family. Pool wasn’t as expected in terms of kids option and family time opportunity. We have an emergency regarding a teenager with a period first time and guest services was running out of those which is a surprise in a Marriott hotel. For families we suggest have microwave available in rooms if possible since could be helpful occasionally.

Check in process was outstanding. Chenen at the check desk was friendly, helpful, answer all questions and provide useful info about the city. Cleaning and rooms were out standing and comfort as well.

Super expensive parking and food. Messed up with our food option- we ordered vegetarian food and they delivered chicken dish.

Location is really good however it's not value for money. JW Marriott messed up with dinner - we are vegetarian and they served chicken meal to us. Not happy with expensive price options for everything.

The wait time when calling the hotel prior to the stay and the wait time when contacting the hotel during our stay was 10 minutes or longer. THE PARKING, it is ridiculous having to pay 50$ non-valet per night. That was nearly half the price per night for the room!!!

Pool is tiny and was overcrowded and dirty. Bathrooms dirty. They don't let you bring your own alcohol in the pool area. Traffic just to get to park. Parking is 54$ a night.

Property was more like an old Marriott. Certainly not the JW brand I’m used to seeing. In addition to needing an update, our phone was broken, hair dryer not working properly and ice machine empty. They did however offer to deliver ice (by calling from the broken room phone), but for some reason left the bag of ice next to the ice bucket (not in it) so we returned to a puddle on the floor. I must admit I was surprised to get a JW for less than $300 a night. Now I know why.

Room was not worth what we paid.

We paid over $400 for one night and this place was not worth that much. We got a room that had refrigerator on the floor and it looked very beat up. The place was ok but for the price we paid, I expected much better as we’ve paid less at other places and got better rooms and service. We will not be staying here again.
