Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesThis is the 2nd time I have stayed here, and I had absolutely no complaints. I left too early for breakfast, but I did see coffee pots in the lobby on my arrival.
Older motel, but the location was away from major roads and very quiet. Room was large, with good internet, large screen TV, microwave and refrigerator. I had booked two nights to bike the New River Trail, but when I went to the trailhead a few blocks away, the trail was closed for repairs from recent flood damage, and the manager spent 30 min on the phone with booking.com getting my 2nd night refunded when I could find no way on the app to do this myself.

AustraliaI have stayed in alot of hotels in this price range, and this place is very overpriced for what is on offer. Curtain was ripped In our room, there was no tea/coffee or means of making it. I was directed to the vending machines for food and drink. The only toiletries provided was a bar of soap, tissue box container was falling out of the wall and had no tissues in it. All these omissions are ok, but we shouldn't be paying the same rates as hotels that do provide these things. Air-con when activated blew the curtain across the bed, bed not so comfortable. Other guests were smoking outside their rooms in the evening and overnight. The smoke was blowing in through the window which meant I had to get up and close the window in the night (maybe needs a smoking area away from the rooms).

United StatesThe room was freezing cold with no heat on when we arrived & took 4 hours to finally heat up.We had to climb over piles of snow & ice each time from the car to the room. The parking lot was plowed but snow had not been removed beyond that. It was dangerous.
