Excellent value for money! Used the free local trolley/ bus every day which we hailed from the end of the drive to get to the main area for bars and restaurants.

It was the perfect location for us, but I loved the way Michelle had decorated—so fun and colorful. The bed was comfy and there were so many thoughtful details that we lacked for nothing! It was a great start to our Hawaii vacation!

My stay at Kona Magic Honu Room was fantastic. The host, was incredibly hospitable and provided excellent communication before and during my stay. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with colorful island-inspired accents. The convenient beach access and thoughtful amenities made for a memorable Hawaiian getaway. Highly recommended!

One of the best experiences as a holiday we ever get!!! Since the first step in you realize that is the best choice you can ever make. The host Mychelle is a wonderful person that makes you feel comfortable right away. The room and the bathroom are very clean you have clean towels also for the beach and the pool. The property is in a fabulous location walking distance from one of the best beaches of the island. If you drive to the address the host would give you the perfect advice to get there at the right parking stall and the apartment. Strongly recommend above all expectations, and I travelled a lot around the world. Can't wait to coming back 🙏🏻❤️

It is in an apartment / condo building, and there were conversations going on outside that were mildly disruptive to sleeping with the window open. We knew what it was going to be, so this was not a surprise. The large waves that have recently been pounding the Kona shoreline have taken out much of the sand, leaving smaller beaches and rockier coastline. There are very few (?any?) nearby places for breakfast or a late dinner. We drove into Kona for earlier (8:30) breakfast.

Our host kept a clean and tidy place. Our car parking spot was protected and safe. She was readily available in the days and hours prior to our arrival to answer questions about the local area. We were just there for a place to sleep and this fit the bill well. There is an open lot next to the building, and the goats were bleating while clearing the overgrowth for their dinner. It was a pleasant sound in an otherwise built up area!

We are from Alaska and the Hawaii heat was a little much for us, so air conditioning would have been appreciated. There are lots of fans and the screened windows and doors were open.

Great location right across from the beach in the heart of town. Loved our hostess and her two shy feline companions. Our hostess was very accommodating and even though our room and bathroom are in her space, she was very unobtrusive and we had the run of the place, kitchen, living room and lanai. She honoured our request to check in early and offered us the use of her beach towels and shower if we wanted to go to the beach and return after our designated check out time. So sweet. The place is a little quirky, matched my hippy style with lots of happy coloured lighting. Also, there is an elevator.

Michelle went above and beyond for us. Everything was just convenient. She was very accommodating. After we checked out, she still had us borrow some of her beach stuff and let us leave our luggage. (We had an airBnb with our friends but we flew a day earlier for a cheaper flight) We chilled at the beach bec it was literally a 2 min walk from her place. Overall it was a wonderful stay! 10/10.
