Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMy room had a weird smell, it went away once I kept the air conditioner on. There were some stains on the rug. Also, No shampoo, just two bars of soap, not sure if that’s normal now. I needed a first floor room, due to handicap issues, so they changed my room during check in, maybe that is why it had those issues.
A portion of the property is a converted bean and grain facility from the late 1800s. I did not stay in that section which was very nice looking, if I had to stay here again I would ask to stay in that section. They do keep the outside of the property very clean. You can tell that the maintenance team takes pride in the cleanliness. the breakfast was great. good job. the bed linens were clean, and fresh smelling. the towels were also fresh smelling. I needed a ground floor room due to handicap issues, they accommodated quickly at checkin. Handicap parking was right next to my room. Thank you for that. Area close to food establishments and shopping if needed.

United StatesThe location was a bit underwhelming. Even though there is mention that the train is "close" to the property, if you are on the side of the hotel that faces the tracks you are at probably some 50ft from the tracks. When the train goes by the room rattles, and in the very early hours of the morning apparently the cross-country carts pass because they were long (llike 3+mins long). Couldn't help to get a "Cousin Vinny" moment, at 12am, 1am, 2am. For this reason, I think the rate by the hotel was not in line with the accommodations; the rate seemed inflated for the specific location/experience.
Check-in was really easy, room was spacious, and clean. Location used to be a huge Silo for grains and beans back in the 40s-50s. Some of the original frameworks is still there.

United StatesThe elevators were both broken. The day we got there one was working (not the closest to our room) but the next morning they were both broken. The stairs on only on the outside of the building so they were leaving the doors propped open for us to use the stairs which allows anyone to get in the building. I had to carry my children's, mom's, and my own luggage down 3 flights of stairs to leave on sunday. It is a pet friendly hotel and I'm sad that pet owners don't take better car of their dogs mess, but the entrance to the building smelled of dog pee and poop so bad it burned my nose. And giant piles of dog poop were left in the flower beds right at the entrance. I'd say the worse thing tho was the sprinklers were on on Sat morning when we went down for breakfast and had obviously been on for a while cause there was water draining in the parking lot.....those sprinklers never turned off NOT ONCE the entire day and next day. When we checked out at 11 on Sunday we complained about the giant waste of precious water they are causing and the response was we've "already called but can't do anything". This place could be SO cool and nice, but they don't seem to be very caring about guests, property, conservation, or the like.
I love the site, the history, the awesome cement room and hallway made from an old grain mill. The location was good

Both washing machines on both floors were out of order, I had phoned in advance asking about laundry facilities & was never told out of order! And, dryer took money (no sign was on dryer)
