How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. No fresh cut up fruits. No warm food other than waffles.
Courteous staff. Quick check in. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Water pressure in shower was great. The most impressive thing of all was the fact that I left my wallet in the room when I checked out. The hotel maid found it and turned it in to the front desk and I was contacted by the front desk immediately. Its nice to know there are honest people willing to do the right thing and I was very impressed and overwhelmed with gratitude. Unfortunately the cleaning staff left for the day by the time I got back to the hotel to retrieve my wallet so I didn't get the chance to personally thank the women who turned in my wallet. I hope to find out who it was by calling the hotel today.

I wasn't thrilled with the breakfast choices---a lot of carbs, not a lot of fruit choices other than an apple. I would have just liked something not processed and more healthy.
It was very quiet and I appreciated seeing the signage encouraging guests to make quiet choices! I loved that!

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The pillows too. I'm sorry to review anything bad bc I really enjoyed the hotel, but the beds were terrible. Also the breakfast ends at 9a on weekdays, with the number of families there it was just too crowded. Wish there were eggs.
The room was really nice, and spotlessly clean. Great TV, all the channels functioned. Lots of lighting. Had the softest bath linens! Actually the whole bathroom was nice and the shower gave me life. Also the coffee downstairs in the little dining area was unnecessarily good! Like so good. On around the clock too.

The desk chair had no cushion left. It felt like I was sitting near to the floor. Replace it!!
Breakfast was ok. Needed more fresh fruit selections and enough low fat milk (as it ran out); also need to keep the room cooler. Was very hot and crowded and no one wearing masks except us (we therefore took food to our room).

Carpet is kind of old. Bathroom needs some upgrade.
Very helpful staff. Comfy beds. Clean rooms. Nice Hot breakfast with several options. Swimming pool is an add on bonus.

we forgot toothpaste and we’re hoping there would be some at the front desk but apparently nothing is available as a courtesy. they had a small sundry section and it wasn’t in stock either. it was after a long day and we were advised to go to stop and shop to get some. most hotels have products like this if something was forgotten.

First room they gave...we entered and both beds unmade, toilet full and unflushed. We went back they gave us another room after verifying what we said was true. Next room looked barely cleaned. Papers on floor, toilet paper roll under vanity. Tub, shower was sketchy. Good help is obviously hard to find.
Good location. Front desk staff pleasant. Free breakfast was you would expect! Coffee 24 hours was good.

Could use more than one washer. No meat with breakfast unless you got the sandwich and I am allergic to eggs so not an option.
I like they serve breakfast. The pool was nice.

The breakfast
The breakfast needs more work, we went down around 830a and there was a very limited amount of food to eat, there was 1 bagel left (raisin) no other options, there were a few slice of toast, no pancakes, no waffles, I did see some cereal but no milk options such as almond or soy ( for people who cannot drink regular milk).

The noise at night after quiet hours. we were on the first floor and there was noise from 10pm-1:00am.
I liked the location and the staff. The beds were comfy as well.
