Nothing worth complaining about!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and fresh smelling. The facility has been well maintained. The hotel is a bit of a hike to the conference center but the walk seemed to get shorter every day and the savings made it very worth while. There is a city bus that is a straight shot down Dolorosa and Market Streets that passed me regularly on my walk.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. There were very few available outlets in the room; none by the bed. Free breakfast was nice but it was very basic and there was very limited seating; I didn't get a table once in the 3 mornings I was there.

Good location. The room wasn't quite what it looked like on the website, but the bed was comfortable enough. Though they didn't offer much, the staff was friendly and helpful.

The bathtub was dirty. The rug was super dirty. If you walk barefoot your feet get black! It really need renovation. It was a little pricey for the old facilities. I dont think i will go back.

The location was excellent. Near Historical MarketPlace and the Riverwalk. I went walking to those places. The breakfast was good too. The staff was nice.

The walls were thin, I could hear conversations from outside and from neighbors. Sometimes in excruciating detail. I felt like I had to town down my volume to not he a nuisance. You are provided Bar soaps, which I'm fine with, though they didn't provide conditioner with the shampoo. Meaning if you didn't pack conditioner, now you gotta buy some! The coffee machine made a little mess, and the coffee was mediocre, but did the trick in a pinch. There's no elevator to the second floor. I had to carry all my luggage and gear up a small flight of stairs. Not the end of the world, but it'd have been nice to not have to pull 60 pounds up those stairs. They only had bananas for fresh fruit, which the lobby area just emanated the smell of banana. Sometimes the bananas were a little overripe, or underripe but not in between. Slightly bitter bananas for me! The cups for the waffle batter was a little awkward to not make a mess with. Those little cone cups that still confound me to this day, yeah I made a mess a couple of times. Plus I felt like I was getting a small waffle.

The room was cozy, had everything one could ask for in a compact space. The beds were cozy, the coffee machine worked, there was free wifi (relatively low speed but workable.) The breakfast was good, you had a decent spread of waffles, muffins, cereal, bread (toast?), sausage and sometimes eggs alongside coffee and juice. For coffee, you had decaf and regular, covering all bases. I do say sometimes there was eggs as there were times they were out and not resupplied regularly. They made my bed every morning, which was a nice touch. For TV, you had the option of logging into your own Netflix or the broadcast. It was an older model Samsung that worked perfectly, and would reset after thirty minutes or so. It was a little weird but I get it. Being right next to the Riverwalk and the Market Square, you were not limited on options to enjoy the downtown scenery or the Alamo. It's all literally right there!
