Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe stains on the comforter in both rooms. Once we got to our second room and there was still what appeared to be a grease stain we did not change rooms again as it was too much of an inconvenience with the dogs.
The customer service here was amazing. We had to change rooms because of stains on our bedding. She was very friendly and not annoyed at all.

United StatesI booked a room with a sofa bed. The reservation specifically stated two beds. The sofa bed was not made and no bedding was in the room for the sofa bed. I obtained bedding from the lady managing the front desk and made the bed myself. When I book a room with two beds I expect that the two beds are prepared and I should not have to obtain bedding to make the bed before I can use them.
This hotel was a great location for the event we were attending. The breakfast was good with many selections and the room was large and comfortable.

United StatesBreakfast was less number of items than before. They had waffles, scramble eggs, sausage in liquid, muffins and beagles. They normally have cereal but their truck hadn't arrived yet. I'm thinking they could have gone to a store and picked up some cereal. Very disappointed in the breakfast. Would have liked a couple more choices, and some advanced planning when they are running low and the truck is not scheduled for another day.
