How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn't like that my room was different this time it was set up differently it was smaller they did check me in early so that was appreciative so I mean I had to get whatever room was available the room was smaller it had very few outlets in it the desk that goes between the beds actually was not hooked on properly and it fell onto the floor it didn't break it just wasn't connected and I could not figure out how to get it back connected I didn't tell the front desk cuz it was about time to leave anyhow it was just not a very big room which was irritating and it also didn't have a lot of plugins which was irritating I did appreciate the breakfast and I appreciated a lot of things about the room they got me in way early which was awesome also there was a dog next door that kept yapping that was driving me insane but that's not their fault
I always enjoy how fast and speedy they get me into a room and how they're always accommodate me no matter how early or how late that I do get there the staff is always very friendly and it's very quick trick and process that always make sure that my room is away from other people which is nice this time it wasn't away from other people but they were very full so they could not help that overall I just really appreciate and like this hotel

The guest room was dark - too much gray! The water pressure in the bathroom was poor. The breakfast had good variety, however it was not suited or labeled for people with food allergies. It would have been helpful if the breakfast preparers had been much more attentive to the guests and wiping off the tables than chatting with each other. Tables needed wiping between guests.
The property was in a great location- close to great restaurants and things to do. The guest laundry facility was excellent.

Can’t think of anything.
Loved everything. Would book again. Comfortable beds. Super ! real food breakfast. No instant eggs or little muffins. Real scrambled eggs, waffles, the whole deal. Breakfast meats, potatoes, gravy. Price thru booking.com was very reasonable.

The breakfast left a little to be desired...but it was edible. Bacon would have been nice!
The rooms were nice and we love that it is pet friendly! The staff is very nice as well.

Pillows were very hard.

Make sure you don't light a candle or anything especially if you're any kind of "so called black skin" it will be used against you at the hotel in Joplin mo... La Quinta inn. I have worked several jobs in housekeeping and I've had plenty of rooms that people smoked in but I'd never charge their card 250 . The room didn't smell like smoke only sage ....and it was lit the day before....hie could she smell it when it was lit for. 3 minutes at the most and check out was inecy day....she saw ashes the little residue that fell apart and thought it was cigarettes...maybe the sage upset her demons she had no heart when it came down to that! She even threatened to call the cops because I asked her y did she charge my card as if I had no right to ask. It was no small amount of money to take...I'm almost 100 percent sure that whomever stayed in that room after me , their vibe was good and clean..staff had a bad day and wanted to complain about nothing. Lesson learned ... never stay at La Quinta in

This was such an amazing place to stay I can't think of one bad thing.
The breakfast buffet was the best I have had at any hotel. I loved the 2 hot tubs. And the location being connected to old Chicago was awesome
