There was only small complaints. There was a fake fingernail that I found on the bed. Also the terrace in our room was not inviting at all. This is a simple upgrade that they can do to make the stay worth while. The terrace floor paint was completely chipped and looked terrible. It was also wet from a leak that was coming from the terrace above. It was such a beautiful landscape outside and it was a shame that we could not sit on the terrace to enjoy it. Definitely would have been a highlight of the stay. Please repair this.

The hotel was a clean for the most part. The free cookies and coffee/tea in the lobby was a nice touch. The rooms are a nice vibe for getting away. It was also nice that there is a hiking trail that is right behind the property. It was a beautiful and peaceful hike. Majority of the staff was kind. They give guests one free drink for every night, also great! The bistro was excellent when we went for breakfast. The food was marvelous and it was so quiet and peaceful. The waiter Nicole was such a sweetheart and her service was exceptional!

On the second floor there were only room names and not numbers. We were given a room number and had difficulty finding our room.

It was very cozy and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was unlike the big chain hotels that have nothing memorable about them. It was a lovely property although we couldn’t see a lot of it due to the rainy weather.

Booked 6 months ago. Made one morning breakfast & one brunch reservation. When I arrived they were surprised when I asked to verify them. The property was recently sold and the well-rated restaurant does not have weekday meals. I was not contacted by anyone from the restaurant and offered a cold continental breakfast with plastic wrapped items for $7. The spa was wonderful but the steam room wasn't hot enough and the shower needed grout/black cleaned.

We missed our cleaning crew. We asked them to come in and clean off the rock salt from the wood floors, but they didn't come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and private. We enjoyed the fireplace on a cold night. The temperature was 10 degrees fahrenheit at night. We loved that the hotel has a free wine tasting every night from 5-6pm. The staff was friendly. We also enjoyed the Bistro. The food was great. We had the braised short ribs. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

The bistro was okay, it would be nice to have a little sustenance in the hotel, maybe in the stained glass room. Enjoyed the lattes and the breakfast sandwich. For such a relaxed clientele, the server seemed very hurried both visits we made to the Bistro.

It was beautiful inside and out, gorgeous grounds. Small touches like the books (take one/leave one) were so nice. Having the walls lined with Chagall and Matisse prints was refreshing. Being able to walk to Buttermilk Falls was a big perk!

Being a small and cozy hotel, I expected the reception staff to provide some recommendations on points of interest, wineries to visit, etc. Although we asked for that, the staff wasn't nice enough and didn't show any extra interest in providing suggestions. We were lucky to get many recommendations from the nice lady at the bistro.
