Nothing that we can think of…perfection!

We liked the hospitality of the staff, very personable, friendly and professional. Savanah was a joy to have conversations with. The lodge grounds were spectacular and the lake was just outside our window for viewing. We felt like we had known them for years, that is how comfortable they made us feel. We will get back there again!!!!

It was rustic and some people wouldn’t like that the rooms were a bit small and dated. The location and hospitality made up for that.

The lodge is grand and beautiful with the huge structure of logs. If you want quiet this is the place to be. The staff are very helpful and kind. The lodge is more for fishermen and sportmen.

The breakfast was very good and so was our dinner. It was very beautiful overlooking the lake from our room.

This lodge was fabulous! On the lake, our room had a gorgeous view. The lodge exceeded our expectations. Staff was so friendly and willing to make us feel welcome. The included cooked to order breakfast was tasty.

Windy was a great host. The location sitting on the edge of the lake, which was frozen at the time, was spectacular. The log cabin construction and fitting out of the internal bar/dining area was just what you would expect from an Alaskan Lodge. The fire pit under the never setting sun was a great experience. We should have stayed longer.

The rooms were on the smaller side and it was too warm because the heating couldn't be turned off - but I think the heating issue was being fixed.

We had two rooms on the second floor. One room had a balcony overlooking the lake. Simply superb. The restaurant downstairs with a bar is absolutely classic - old wooden furnishings. Good breakfast with eggs to order.

The owner was a little rude but the rest of the staff made up for her. They didn't have shampoo and conditioner.

Nothing that anyone could control. We were probably there at the worst season, a month later we could have enjoyed boating. In the winter, if you’re hardy enough you’d have snow machine, ice fishing and the Northern Lights.

Not being a local I realized that I had made a mistake booking this for early May. The lake was still frozen and there was snow or mud in the woods that hampered hiking. So there was very little for us to do. I had been charmed by pictures of the lodge that I saw online and wanted to experience an authentic Alaskan hunting and fishing lodge. So we kept our reservations for two nights and it turned out to be a fine experience. We were the only guests but our hosts, the proprietors/owners were great. Very friendly and welcoming and did everything to make our stay great. They cooked three meals a day for us (breakfast was included, we paid for lunch and dinner). The menu was surprisingly varied and the food was cooked to order. The hosts were just great and that’s what made the stay so enjoyable. And the lodge was great

The location is beautiful quiet and a lovely place to relax. My only complaint was the weather. It was cold and windy. Too windy to go out on the boat.

The lodge was clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff which were flexible with our dates. The food was abundant and good. Definitely a place to go for some R&R

a lot of little things are broken or need fixing. loose doors, no heat from hair dryer, sheets are worn, etc.

Our rooms were up very steep narrow stairs. It wasn't an issue for us but could be an issue if you have mobility difficulties. Make sure you know where the room is located if this would be a problem.

Wonderful Lodge right on the Lake with great amenities: restaurant, bar, boats, kayaks, and decor.
