Everything was amazing. We were impressed with all of it. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. It is clear they take pride in their place and want their customers to feel more like family. The property is tastefully done, clean and comfortable.

It was the perfect location, just 20 minutes to the quaint town of Brookston, and 40 minutes to Purdue University, and had an added bonus of a gorgeous lake view! The 2-bedroom apartment where we stayed had everything we needed with plenty of space. Knowing that there is a convection oven, microwave, and refrigerator in the kitchen area, gave us the option of eating in. We appreciated the extra care in providing shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, coffee, and even microwave popcorn! We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating with dock and fire pit to just relax and soak in the beautiful lake view. Lora and her husband, who manage and live on the property, greeted us when we got there and made sure we were settled and had everything we needed. They have done a beautiful job remodeling/updating the apartments and made us feel right at home. It was a terrific weekend trip!

Beautiful views of the lake! Everything was comfy and clean. The internet was great for some work check-ins and we loved having a kitchenette to make our own meals.

My family of 4 enjoyed the space, paddle boat and pool. We had #12 which was 2bed 1 bath, perfect amont of space. Beach towels were also available by the pool. Close to the amusement park as well. The owners Jim and Lora made sure we needed everything we needed. We will definitely be back next year!

Pool was great. Room was clean and recently renovated. It's a short walk to Indiana Beach. I was glad to see the area seems to be going strong as this was a family vacation spot when I was a child. I was happy to introduce it to my grandkids. They loved every minute of it! It truly made my heart happy!

Easy walk to Indiana Beach, Great pool, and freshly updated rooms. Decor is beautiful, beds and linens are outstanding, and room amenities are great. Loved that our room was at the edge of the property overlooking the lake. Very quiet with a great view. Looking forward to staying here again!

This was our family's first time visiting, and we had a great time! Our cabin was either brand new or newly renovated, with clean comfy furniture and beautiful views of the lake. Our kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed having a fire pit to use at night. Because the resort has a convenience store and is a 2-minute walk from the amusement park, we never needed to pile into the car (and there was plenty of parking at the resort). Having a kitchenette in our cabin and a grill by the water saved us money on meals. We will definitely be back again!

I have no cons

The owners are absolutely beautiful people! They make sure that you are comfortable, they care, and they are kind. The purple suite we stayed in was perfect for a family of 5 or 6. Beautiful along with the balcony and views of Lake Shafer with a dock, paddleboat, firepit grills, places to sit and relax. Oh and the pool!! And their little convenient store for basic needs! Everything is nice and clean. My family will definitely be back! This is are happy lake place!!

The owner herself is very very kind, however, the people she has on the property were the problem. Majority of the resort is still being renovated, so there’s construction happening. Upon working out a check in issue with the owner, I was met with a banging on my door and a random guy covered in paint and dust…eating a taco…asking me if I had checked in…He didn’t introduce himself, and I was alone with my children, so feeling very uncomfortable; I gave limited information. I’m assuming that was an employee who’s renovating but I have no idea why he thought that was acceptable. On top of that- a lot of the property reeked of weed. There was a patio outside of our room and multiple times throughout the stay, the smell was intense. By the pool, outside our room, inside the room when the air would turn on. I have no issues with what people do on their own time, but considering Indiana Beach is meant for children, and I had my asthmatic child with me- it was an issue. There were multiple issues with the AC unit, doors not shutting, handles being broken, and a CRAZY amount of bugs; especially in the bathroom. We stayed in the nicest option they had for a family of 5 and the stairs to get up and down were a lot, with a stroller, coolers, luggage…I absolutely could have missed the warning when booking, but at the end of a long day at the park; it’s a struggle to get everything down to the room unless you’re leaving things in the car instead. Again, the female owner couldn’t be nicer, but for the amount we paid, which was a lot for one night; there’s no reason we should have had the experience we did. Hopefully they make changes that would make us want to come back in the future.
