How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Valet short staffed. No digital ticket to text- request vehicles.
Roomy, dining area. Excellent remodel of hotel. Nice bathrooms.

Unnecessary valet parking fees of $29/night when their parking garage used to be self park with prior companies. Which after tipping a few times a day is $40+ a night. Resort fee of $45 a night is ridiculous as well. So add about $100 a night to the advertised price to all you future travelers.
Perfect location. Staff was very friendly. Room was updated and clean.

Only 2 of the 4 elevators were working, on opposite sides and in order to call both you had to press the button on both sides. They put 4 pillows on the king bed but all of them were down feather pillows that your head sinks into. Putting 2 firm pillows, along with 2 down pillows would have been better. Beware of the light in the bathroom, super bright and no dimmer!
All of the staff, from the valets to front desk to managers, were friendly and attentive. Especially Troy, bartender at License to Chill bar in the lobby. He went above and beyond. Ask about the "Snickers shot" and "Key Lime Pie shot". Also, I didn't get her name, the bell person that helped us to our room was very nice and helpful. Found out that it was her first day! The one issue we did have with an employee was quickly handled by Lauren, a manager, with a promise that they would be coached.

I wish the cleaning service did a much better job at cleaning the rooms.
The location was excellent, and love the access to an indoor pool, a couple of restaurants and a shop, along with a bar and live music!

I didn’t like waking up to dogs barking and I didn’t like how the breakfast buffet was now $29 a person and it was the same exact breakfast as when it was free. when it was included in the stay it was fantastic but at the price it was just ok.
we have stayed here many times we like the larger rooms the entire hotel is beautiful

The elevators were really slow and some of them were down. And our tv wasn’t working and could not be fixed when they came to repair it.

AC fuse was broken, toilet had flushing issues and the room was loud but the room was clean and spacious. The service (from valet to front desk to maintenance staff) were so polite, helpful, and patient. Keep up the good work!

I really liked the rooms, especially the suite. It’s great for families by giving usable space to relax and enjoy. The rooms are super clean and have all the right amenities including a small fridge and microwave. Very helpful when you have small kids.

The water pressure in the shower could have been a bit stronger but it got the job done.
The resort has everything so you really don't have to leave to get anything unless you want to. We liked the size of the room and all of its amenities. Soooo much better than our last experience at an Air BnB, and less expensive too.

The elevators were a complete nightmare. The restaurant, in the front of the resort food wasn't very good & the waiting staff at the restaurant were just ok. It was kind of like a ghost town in there, Especially for being a Saturday. We didn't get a chance to try the *Buffett* & couldn't find the coffee bar.
The room was awesome. Everyone on the staff was awesome from the front dest, to the valley, to the cleaning staff. All were very friendly & very helpful. The best part was the Reggae music playing at the resort. I would definitely recommend Margaritaville to my friends & I'd definitely stay there again.

The Margaritaville theme feels a bit out of place in Tahoe but other than that, really can't complain

Getting into the property was s little difficult. The heating system was very noisy.
