How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

How there is hardly any water available there, especially for guys playing in tournament. They need a filter foutain or station for cold water. And how hot the room was by swimming pool!
I enjoyed the location of the hotel and how it was close to the area for the softball tournament.

There's nothing I Didn't like
The Man Who Checked us in was Great Very Welcoming Had Outstanding Cutomer service!! The Hotel was Huge and the Room was Beautiful..

Not much available in terms of a workout room. The decor is a bit dated and shows some wear. A better shower would nice.
The breakfast is always excellent. The pool is a good option, even if I don't always get to use it. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The location is ideal.

A guest loudly complained about the bed bugs in her room as well as showed everyone a few bed bugs that she caught. That didn't make for a comfortable stay.

It’s definitely an older property, as we were walking our dog we noticed lots of rooms that seemed to be in major disrepair. Our door had to be slammed to shut. There was no noise insulation so we were woken several times in the middle of the night from people walking/talking down the hallways. The beds were not the most comfortable.
The location was great for us, they allow pets and the pet rooms were a great size and looked nice. The breakfast was decent.

Could be cleaner. And they need to fix the hot water problem. Took 20+ minutes to get hot. Overall good value.

Most of the stay was quite nice; however, the bathroom light kept shutting off while I was in the shower and came on several times during the night. This was unpleasant.

The heater was pretty noisy, it did quiet down once it got going. The sheets were pretty thin. The fitness room is too small. The decor is outdated, but I noticed upgrades were in process.
Breakfast was very good. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean. The location works well for me when I'm in Lansing. I like the option of swimming in the pool.

The curtains had very strange stains, had to let the shower water run for a while because water was colored. Mold around knobs in shower. One room light did not work.
It was close to highways and the market. It was ground level and connect tangy crab.

Really need to consider blankets on beds. Only had sheet and very thin comforter. My daughter went down to front desk for more blankets and they told her they only had one extra. This hotel is absolutely HUGE, and not even close to full, and should have extra blankets!!
Room updates have been well done! The beds were so comfortable, didn’t want to get up in the morning.

Very dated property, some spots on the sheets. But clean enough for a one night stay during a road trip. Would stay here again for the same purpose.

The whole facility is older and needs upgrading, but if you don't mind that, the price and comfort make it worthwhile for those wanting to save the money without too much compromise.
This older facility was clean, had a great bed and amenities and a very good breakfast except for weak coffee. The value for the cost of the room was great. I would stay here again. Nice pool and hot tub but we did not have time for that.
