Perfect spot to stay. Right on the river which was a nice place to sip on a few drinks after visiting the mountain. Farm animals were a hit for the kids.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were safe, cozy, and clean. It's family run and they have goats and turkeys on the property.

Only a tiny minor thing could be that we couldn't get the tv to come on despite the instructions in the room pack but who really needs a tv when you come to a place like that? If you do need the entertainment there is a large collection of dvds at reception.

This was a lovely place. Central green area with a pool, accommodation round the edge but well back. Semi-detached or detached rooms, couple of armchairs and table, outside seating on patio, microwave and fridge, laundry available, detailed info in room pack on local ammenities. Wild Turkey wandering around, Hummingbird feeders at reception, short walk down to the river (also good for birdwatching). Easy drive ip into Sequoia. Pleasant staff, quiet, peaceful and we really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location for nature lovers and very close to Sequoia National Park. The rooms were cosy and comfortable. We just stayed for one night and it was raining, hence we couldn't enjoy the outdoor facilities available at the Ranch.

    Nothing!

We loved the cozy feel of the Lazy J from the time we drove up. There was a friendly adorable cat to greet us in the office for check-in (along with a helpful and friendly human). They gave us a good map of the property along with a list of local restaurants and what time they were open, which was very helpful. We got to see the goats and at least twenty hummingbirds right outside the office. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The binder in the room had a lot of great information, including local history, which we enjoyed.

    California tour

    Nothing

We chose the Lazy J for ease of access to the Sequoia National Park & it is in the right spot for that. There were 3 of us in the party & we were able to upgrade at extra cost to a detached cabin which allowed more room & a better equipped kitchen and dining area. The accommodation was basic but on the plus side the gas heater (cold in early Spring) worked well once the staff were able to get it working and the shower was the most powerful we experienced during our California tour! It was as well we upgraded as we made full use of the kitchen because there were limited restaurant facilities in the area. We had been warned about this prior to our trip.

    Nothing to complain about.

We've been traveling from New Hampshire since Christmas week, and the Lazy J Ranch Motel was a splash of good, old-fashioned Americana. I appreciate that they allow dogs. The property is welcoming and so green. What a setting. The room was extra special, but the entire experience was right up there.
