    Disliked · Communication: First and foremost, Vacasa and Booking.com were not in sync or responsive and not at all transparent. I submitted concerns over 3 weeks before my arrival. I was promised follow up phone calls on each of the weekly (or so) calls that I made but no-one ever reached out to me. Then THREE days before our arrival, VACASA told us they could not rectify the problems in the house and I should find another location. There was no mention of a refund. When I pursued calling Booking.com to report this, they finally got involved and said a Relocation Team would find a comparable stay for us. Simultaneously, I started looking for an alternative on my own and saw that nothing in the same location was available. Hours after the cancelation email, Booking.com got back to me stating that the house was suddenly in good condition and I should continue with my plans. I had other people and flights involved and had no alternative, so we resumed our plans to go. The house: The house is very worn. Outside is not kept at all. The outside deck was dirty and had a shabby set of unmatched thin plastic chairs. The patio was not even swept in preparation for our visit. Inside: The carpets must be over 40 years old with stains (dog urination??), the covers on all the couches in the living room were also stained. The blinds in almost every room were broken and parts were broken off the blinds. Throughout the house, the furniture was old, rickety and mismatched. Old can be nice, of course, but this looked like pieces found on the street and crammed along the walls of the rooms. There was rotten-out wall in one of the bathrooms. The window did not lock. The upstairs bathroom was renovated and was fine. The mattresses were so uncomfortable. The double bed is really 2 twins pushed together and the mattresses actually sagged. Location: The location is great and apparently the owner is capitalizing on this, but the price is very high even for this location.

    Door code incorrect, but when called, company assured us help was on the way. No one ever came. Found unlocked side door and had to leave it unlocked for days. Interior shabby, in ill repair, yet priced at top of market. Paid in full but continued to get email threatening cancellation for no payment.
