Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe front "desk" (there is none, just a small counter in the lobby) staff failed to mention that coffee is available in the morning on the rooftop terrace. That was a drag, as I could have avoided searching the neighborhood to find some joe. Also, the room could have used a mini-fridge. There was enough space for one. Lastly, the bathroom fan comes on when light is turned on, and it is VERY loud. Both nights I was there, the fire alarm was set off by someone who showered in the dark, not doubt to avoid the fan noise. The hotel needs to invest in new, quiet fans.
Cute place, well-located for a visit to LoanDepot (Marlins) Park

United StatesMy room was nearest to the lobby, which would get a little loud in the morning.
I liked that it was clean and had very good vibes all around. One of the best stays I've ever had.

United KingdomI stayed in the cozy king size for 2 nights as a solo traveller which worked out great but I think I would’ve struggled with the size of the room a little especially with another person and more luggage perhaps but this may not be an issue in other categories.
Super stylish hotel, lovingly decorated with fantastic staff that were most helpful and welcoming! The interior is what stood out for me at the time of booking and it did not disappoint - what a fantastic little hotel and I can’t wait to visit the other ones. The location was convenient to reach downtown and the airport quickly, so overall very happy with my choice.

United KingdomNoisy A/C, mosquitoes in our room, dusty in some areas, thin walls/doors multiple times thought someone was entering our room but they were going into a different room you can hear it that clearly.

United KingdomEverything was great. The rooftop bar is open to external visitors, and gets quite noisy on weekends if you’re trying to sleep early. The breakfast was delicious but the menu was quite short so don’t expect loads of choices.
Beautifully decorated, stylishly refurbished period property in the heart of Little Havana. Very welcoming and helpful staff and lovely touches like Le Labo products in the bathroom. Fun rooftop bar with great breakfast options in the morning.

United KingdomThe only bad thing I can think of is the location. The Life House is a lovely boutique hotel but it is located in quite a rough neighbourhood. I didn't feel particularly safe at night time.
The hotel was lovely, had great facilities and the decoration was lovely. Staff were very attentive and they have entertainment towards the end of the week which is great.

Nice location to explore Little Havana by foot. Quick taxi ride to Midtown and to Wynwood. Nice rooftop that attracts a big crowd. Noisy at night but ok with earplugs.

EstoniaDuring our stay in March 2022 it was quite a noisy place. We had a room on the third floor, which was right below the terrace where every evening there was loud music and it was also possible to hear the furniture being moved when the bar was getting ready to be opened or closed. Also, there was a staff/maintenance room directly next to our room where there seemed to be some renovations getting done so there were often staff both talking loudly in the corridor right behind our door and also some banging when they did the work in the room. The AC in our room was also very loud. There were very cute chickens and roosters roaming the streets, but the roosters also made themselves heard from early in the morning. All in all, quite noisy, some things that the hotel can do something about, some that you can just keep in mind when booking.
The location of the hotel is great for getting to know Little Havana and venturing towards Coconut Grove. The hotel rooftop terrace has great views of the Miami skyline and although they like to play super loud music which makes talking with each other a bit difficult, it's a nice spot to visit. We stayed in a king suite. The shower and the amenities in the room were great, the bed was big and comfy, nice and soft robes in the room. There was also a great view of the Miami skyline from our window. The hotel lobby area was very nice and the staff was always very helpful.

United KingdomOnly thing I could have possibly said was no fridge in the room (but we were in a smaller room) as well as no toilet brush.
Lovely clean rooms with really nice decor. Super clean bathroom as well and really nice shower! Le Labo products smelled amazing!! Furniture in the lobby and on the roof was very chic, and the overall vibe of the place was just so great. Super friendly staff too. One of my fave boutique hotels I've stayed in :) So worth the money! And Little Havana is amazing!

United Kingdom- we were in 3rd floor which is below the bar. We could slightly hear the music. It didn't bother us at all as quite tired and drunk! But it might bother a light sleeper.
- very clean hôtel - hôtel looks like one you could see in Havana in older movies, very cool. - staff was excellent, he went out of his way to try to find a parking spot for us and was about to give us his, but luckily we found one outside. - roof top bar is amazing! Great view, great drinks and great music. It gets pretty busy as people are traveling to the bar. Must do!
