The shower head was nice but could have been a little higher. It was a little low, even for regular people.

Breakfast didn't have any eggs or gravy, only fresh biscuits and sausage. The attendant said it was due to COVID. I couldn't figure out how COVID affected eggs and gravy and not biscuits and sausage! Stayed the two previous nights at a Holiday Inn and won't stay there again!

In the bathroom, there were dead bugs in the light on the ceiling. The shower walls had noticeable dirt on them that I cleaned. There was a yellow stain on the top bed blanket.

I loved walking into a hotel that smelled good as soon as we walked in. Wasn’t a strong chemical smell for once. It was a refreshing smell. The desk hostess was very nice. He managed the phone constantly ringing while trying to check guests in maintaining professionalism. Would be nice to see him have some help on a Saturday night. The beds were comfortable. I slept well.

Pool has to much chlorine in it to the point our eyes were irritated. It was warm enough but couldn’t full enjoy due to the chlorine. The room was clean but the amount of dog hair left on the sofa couch was unpleasant. I asked the maid for the lint roller to clean it while she attended another room. She was soooo apologetic as she stated she had just cleaned the room. She must’ve rushed because there were other areas that seemed over looked or half cleaned. A few hairs were in the tub too. Overall, I would’ve like a fully cleaned room that had been spot checked. Definitely would’ve waited and understood. I’m allergic to long hair dogs and it was clear one had stayed in the room prior to our arrival.

I would like to be able to fix a hot cup of tea at night before bed. There was a thermos next to the coffee, but the water was cold.

The homely feel of the staff. There is even a grumpy man that works there. Most of the staff are great. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We will most definitely stay again.

I was surprised this hotel got such a high rating in Booking.com. We had a relatively late arrival. We got to our room hearing several dogs barking. As noted, it was late (about 9 pm). We hadn’t eaten dinner yet so we dropped our bags off and left. I should have noted the waste basket keeping the bathroom door open. We came back after dinner and went to bed. The waste basket was the only way to keep that door open. The hvac unit was LOUD. It sounded like an airplane, making it a bit hard to get to sleep. In the morning I went to take a shower to find a line of mildew around the seal on the tub. There was no exhaust fan and the only way to air out the room was that wastebasket. No plans to return there.

When I booked, I indicated 2 adults and 3 children. I was put in a room with 2 queen beds. Did they expect 3 children to sleep in one bed? One child had to sleep on the floor. I was not impressed.

Very unclean room, holes in the bedding right on the duvet turn on the top, not in the inconspicuous place, it looked like the cigarette burn holes. Very dirty floor. Extremely poor sound insulation, we occupied first room from reception and could hear every conversation and activity for half of the night
