Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesParking was at a premium when we arrived Friday evening due to a wedding. There was a spot - it just took a little maneuvering to get it right!
It was a beautiful property. The room worked for what we needed. The shower was wonderful. The breakfast was very good and in line with other restaurants.

United StatesPart of the reason we like staying here is handing out in the main house in the bar at night. We didn't know there would be a wedding there Sat night and could not use the main house. Make sure to ask if there is a wedding on.
We have stayed on Manion at 5th three times. We love it and the location. Such a great historical building where time stands still.

United StatesEasy to hear the people around you (but I understand it is an old building and that is just what happens!). And the room was a bit warm for sleeping even after turning the air to the lowest it would allow.
Love the area, convenient for our plans. Room was very clean and comfortable.

United StatesLight sleepers may want to avoid rooms facing the traffic on Fifth Avenue.
This is one of the more memorable and atmospheric lodges you are likely to fine anywhere in America. Both cozy and grand, this was the home of a wealthy lawyer to the plutocrats of the Gilded Age, at a time when Pittsburgh’s steel industry was driving the industrial revolution. The lobby features an elegant lobby with fireplace, a grand staircase, oil paintings, stained glass windows and lots of mahogany. Our room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The staff are courteous and efficient.

United StatesI have asthma and had no idea my room was essentially in the attic with an elevator only going to the second floor. Also the house is such a maze that a few small appropriately placed signs would have helped find the room a whole lot easier. Also I know I only stayed one night but I had booked a room for four and the amenities would certainly not have served us all had everyone come.
It is a lovely home in a great location

United StatesI think it’s good to offer complimentary water and/or snacks.
The breakfast was excellent, especially the sausage. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were busy preparing for Easter and still took the time to assist me with my car troubles. My daughters and I had drinks at the bar Good Friday and the bartender was exceptionally nice and helpful!

United StatesThey need to dust some of the old trim work on occasion. Also if I book a room for four people they should make sure there are towels and toilettetries for four people.
For a very old and rebuilt mansion the rooms were pretty nice. The staff was pleasant and cared about doing a good job. The breakfast food was great.

United StatesI wouldnt say I didnt like this this, but it is not the most ADA accessible (which was not an issue for me). We had to carry our luggage up a bunch of stairs, but given how old the building is (but in incredible shape), I am not sure that those who have difficulty with stairs will fare. But other than that, the place was amazing!
What a great find near Carnegie Mellon. My daughter and I went to visit CMU for a college visit. The Mansion is incredible and the Breakfast we had in the morning was very reasonably priced and tasted great. The service we had at breakfast was incredible.

United StatesWe stayed for one night before seeing a Fall Out Boy concert, and I loved it. It is a beautiful property. Right off the street. But I didn’t hear a sound all night. The rooms were comfortable and very pretty. The woman at the front desk I spoke to when I checked in, was very friendly. Everything was clean. Normally I would think the price is kind of high for one night, but I thought it was fair for how beautiful it is. Breakfast was affordable and very good. Check out was effortless. And parking was free which is incredibly important to me because most people are going to have to use their car when they are traveling.

United StatesWe live on a farm which you can hear the peepers chirping and cricket - it is not that I didnt like the sounds of cars I am just not a city girl. However the noise is very much as quiet as noise of a city could be.
Everything is lovely at the Mansion and the breakfast is amazing, the history of the house is interesting and you can feel yourself getting a glimpse into the past as you walk through the doors. What an amazing mansion!!

United StatesThe accommodations needs a little TLC. In our room, there were obvious cracks in walls that needed simple patching. All rooms are not equal, some are spectacular, some are homely. Worst for us, the sofa bed for our kid was unbelievably uncomfortable.
