The breakfast was great each day and we enjoyed it either on the little porch outside our room or in the courtyard near the pool. Ella's was close to everything - Higgs Beach, Duval Street, Hemingway House, restaurants, Mallory Square, etc. We rented bikes and rode them everywhere, no taxis were needed!

The room and the bathroom were too small. There was very limited space for our one suitcase.

The bed was very comfortable. AC and ceiling fan awesome. Really enjoyed the breakfast bar and the coffee was outstanding. Usually very weak but not here.

By far, the least appealing aspect of Ella’s Cottages was the bathroom. Unfortunately, this is probably the one area that would be difficult for management to make changes in because of the space limitations. The bathroom in our room (#15), was simply too small to be comfortable. There was no counter space to put anything. There is no space to put a towel when getting out of a shower. The shower itself is very small with no additional shelving.

The coffee was very good which was much appreciated. The selection of pastries offered however was disappointing and never changed during the 4 days we stayed. The pastries were “grocery store” quality and certainly not Kimpton hotel quality. The boxed cereal choices were odd and for children (even though there were no children, as far as we could determine). The cut fresh fruit and fresh juices were very nice. There was only one flavor of yogurt every morning. One of the things that we did like was the housekeeping staff—even though they came very late to clean our room (usually after 4:00 PM), they were very pleasant and did an excellent job in cleaning and maintaining the housekeeping standards.

Boyfriend did not like how loud the ac unit was. It didn't bother me.

Loved the look, comfort, location and privacy of the rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again if we get back down that way.

They didn’t have enough pool towels. They were constantly out. They couldn’t launder them fast enough.

The location of our room - noise was quite a bit with pedestrians and cars. Also AC is so loud but I can handle that after a bit. Aside from this it’s so clean and comfortable and The staff are wonderful!!

we paid almost $500 a room at this location, and it was extremely disappointing what we received in return. We were booked into one of the city view rooms - The rooms were small there were no bureaus no flat surfaces to put things on the bathrooms were tiny with no place to put your toiletries. I think we paid way too much and price was just determined by the fact it was in Key West, but it was definitely not a good value. Additionally we were not given a choice of rooms on booking.com when we made reservations. The photos made it appear as we were booking in to a much nicer room - very deceptive advertising.

The location was great. The staff is wonderful.

-the pics online were super deceptive about the size of the rooms and pool. I feel like that was pretty shady-they knew what they were doing! -the rooms were very close to the street that had loud mopeds/motorcycles zooming through and so with our single paned windows, we got woken up a lot with the noise outside- even with our very loud white noise sound machine :(

-it was beautifully decorated -the staff was super friendly, eager to please -it was very clean -it was situated close to all the activities and excellent restaurants, but far tucked away from the drunks

No parking at the hotel, you will struggle to park your car especially if it's a big SUV or truck, and I couldn't understand why do I have to pay a fee for my car if I can't find a parking? At the end the hotel did offer me a parking which was in front of the hotel but what if another guest want to park?

FYI, there appears to be a problem with fastening things to the drywall. One bedside lamp was partially hanging loose from the wall because the drywall anchors had pulled out on the top connection. Similarly two towel bars were coming loose on one end because the drywall anchors had pulled out. (Room # 16)

the bedroom had no windows. was a bit claustrophobic. the breakfast wasn’t very interesting. no fruit left at 9:30, nothing but packed goods.

Very high price for not much other than location

The location is great! Property is pretty. Rooms are comfy and clean. Just don’t think it’s worth the money they charge.
