Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room had only a small window facing a narrow internal structural opening, so it might be intimidating for claustrophobic people. Adding to this effect is the large artwork on the wall depicting a face looking directly at you. Brrr... Also, the hotel charges you some "Urban Fee" that includes a hefty Food & Beverage credit which you must use at the hotel restaurant whether you want it or not. It didn't fit my plans, so I simply lost that money. Feels like a legalized robbery.
The hotel is located right in the middle of a very busy theater / tourism district, so, depending on your preferences, it might or might not be an ideal choice for you. It is charming and convenient. The staff were very nice and accomodating.

GermanyWe had a room next to the street, can hear the noise when the traffic is busy but it’s not too much bothering for us. We could also hear the kids playing in the next room but during the night it was quiet.
Great location near Times Square yet private atmosphere. Nice room and bathroom style, not spacious yet cozy with everything you need.

United StatesQueen sized bed seemed closer to a full size bed.
Clean, small hotel (easy and fast to get in and out), nice service, attractive room. Provided a voucher for their restaurant. We used it for breakfast and prices were reasonable, service friendly and food was good. Room was quiet.

United StatesWe loved everything. Demi was a wonderful hostess at the front desk when we arrived. Nyoma gave us info about which subways to take, and Paul helped us get into our safe when we forgot the code. Our servers, Tony at the bar, Sebastian at breakfast, Felicity at dinner, and Daniel at breakfast were wonderful. We loved the rooms and the location. The interior design was beautiful and a genius use of space.

Exceptional location inside Times Square for theatre lovers. Walking distance to each show that I had tickets for, plus on site food that was delicious.

United StatesNot much! Shout out to Daniel, the waiter and all around bar/restaurant guru.
Bar and restaurant well staffed with a good menu and well served drinks. Bathrooms were handsomely decorated and very efficiently designed. Beds were comfortable. Elevator managed to keep up with guest demand Event room could be rearranged to be more guest-friendly..i.e. a sofa or 2. There is a photo in a promotional piece which shows the space as more a lounge than a bar/event space.

United StatesThere’s a $25 breakfast fee added to each of the night stay. We don’t eat breakfast so this was $100 waisted
The hotel staff is lovely, the room is very clean, excellent bed and all the fixtures. Small in size, but very comfortable. The price is high, but since we wanted to be next to Broadway we decided it was worth it.

United KingdomWe visited with our 18 year old daughter and unfortunately the sofa bed she slept on was really uncomfortable and hard. When I mentioned to the lovely lady at reception she arranged for a topper or duvet (not sure which) to be added for her to sleep on but sadly it didnt help very much - that is the only reason I took a point off my score as this really is a great place to stay
Great location, immaculate, stylish rooms, powerful shower with tonnes of hot water, super friendly, helpful staff, would certainly recommend and return

United KingdomNot having a Kettle in the bedroom, but Shona the manager did say I could have a kettle but did not bother as we were nearly at the end of our stay.
The full Irish breakfast was great and filled you up way past lunch time. I ate the risotto with scallops which was excellent. and great value. It was lovely to go down stairs first thing in the morning and bring a pot of tea back to the bedroom. The location was amazing, next to Time Square, which was bustling with people but when you got back to the hotel you could not hear anything from outside. Shona the manager has a wealth of knowledge about New York. The staff were all kind and friendly and the maids were FAB.

United StatesThe location was in the heart of everything. The staff were very helpful and friendly - we felt like we were welcomed home each evening. We loved the Irish flavor of the hotel. Very homey and quaint. The breakfasts were very good with a good variety. All needs were met quickly and pleasantly. While the rooms were on the small side, they were uniquely decorated, which we like. Not your cookie cutter hotel!

United KingdomToo expensive compared to other 4-star hotels. The location is not so worth it. Other neighborhoods are nicer, more lively, and more convenient to visit the whole Manhattan. The staff at the reception were grumpy and hasty. We stayed 6 nights and there was no housekeeping except for making the bed. I would have appreciated cleaning the bathroom at least at half-stay. There is no wardrobe, just a small coat rack.
Lovely place and decor. Nice food, although quite pricey (6 dollars for a small latte is almost outrageous). The staff at the restaurant is very welcoming (quite the opposite at the reception). Small room but comfortable. Nice toiletries.

United KingdomThat we had to come home!!!
This is an exceptional find in such a busy part of Times Square where you can relax away from the bright lights and just reflect on all the fun of the day in the ambience of the hotel bar and the boutique rooms. This was just what we needed after a full on day of sightseeing and walking our socks off! The staff are so attentive ,full of great local knowledge and make you feel so welcome! Dickson gives the best hugs, makes the best drinks! Shona, Demi, Paul and all the team thank you for making this the best trip to New York we will dedicatedly come back!! Thanks Liz and Izzy
