Good base to visit local attractions and walks. Cozy cabin with sloping floors and character. Parking. Good friendly greeting from friend of the owner. Never saw the owner. Separate bathroom with shower, wash hand basin and w/c. Not much else around about. Pub restaurant going to winter opening hours. Heating basic and noisy. So didn't put it on much. Honestly, this was such a mixed bag of nuts. Rooms were clean, but bathroom had an odor that gave me a headache, so my shower, while wonderfully hot, had to be cut short. Shower and toilet were up two steps from the sink. Bathroom door opened backwards from corner into the middle of the bedroom (which was a problem in the middle of the night), but the fridge, microwave and utensils were great. Sheets were clean and pillows were firm (which I really like), but the floors were wavy and at a slight tilt. The one double & one twin was the perfect size for us traveling with our grandson, and that's a rare find. And the price and location were right, but really no views and a million mosquitos with no screens on the windows for ventilation on a pleasant August night. One of the staff was friendly and helpful; The other tried to charge me for my service dog who sleeps on her blanket on the floor and we never leave alone...until I reminded him it was illegal to charge.

The interior of the cabin was very dark, perhaps a bulb (or a few) had blown. The shower was warm but had very low water pressure.

Moose Pass is an excellent central location from which to explore the Kenai. the cabins are very comfortable and each is well spaced from the next. Each has its own individual charm. There was plenty of for the family and the beds were very comfortable.

The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The pillows were super thin and only 2 were provided, so you couldn't make it better by stacking them because there was only one per person. In addition, they could put a blackout curtain on the door window (same as they have in the windows) to make the room darker in the summer time.

The cabin was good and very clean, there was a minifridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. It was overall okay for the price.

If advertising a breakfast, I would suggest it be a bit more robust. The host was nice enough, but pancakes and juice were very basic and underwhelming. The cabin was nice, but the shower was more like an RV shower. The electric fireplace was nice at night. There was a DVD player, but no cable. If you don't have DVDs, it doesn't have much purpose.

We enjoyed the cabin and its location, close to the road, but still felt decently remote. It was very clean and well appointed.
