Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This is a converted fabric mill converted to a hotel. Done in the most professional way. Many antique pieces of equipment on display in the halls. They have a pub, A restaurant and fitness room. The building is easily used by ADA guests. We liked it so much we extended another night. The bed and shower is fantastico. I am seriously thinking of duplicating this shower and bathroom in my home in Tucson. My wife wants measurements. LOL

United StatesWish that the rooms(minus bathrooms, which have plenty of light) had more lighting because unless binds are open, at least in the two different rooms we have now stayed in, that they don’t have enough lighting. And depending on what room you get people can see right in. This time we stayed in the Tapestry Suite which is beautiful and probably our favorite but you feel like you’re on display when the blinds are up
We enjoy that it doesn’t have the normal hotel look or feel and the character.

United Statesmaybe some homemade Amish goodie to greet us at the desk or coffee free in the lobby.
Breakfast was good but not included in the price. We loved the historic venue that we were actually staying in the old woolen mill. Our room was large and the bed very comfy. Glad to have a refrigerator.

United StatesThe place was so noisy from other guests both in the halls and their rooms. We could hear their tv while trying to sleep. Some of the loud talking was from staff though in the one room close by. The air conditioning didn’t seem to help much. I don’t know if I got maybe 3-4 hours of sleep with all that going on.
The place is absolutely beautiful. So much thought went into the decor and design. We liked how dogs were welcome as well. Very friendly front desk help

SwitzerlandIt was fine. Seems expensive for the area.
Amana is a charming village. This hotel Is enormous and quirky. The pandemic has not been kind, it was practically empty when I visited. No restaurant, no bar, nothing. Still, a cool place.

United StatesBreakfast, Generally, below expectations. Two "Oat Cakes and a 2oz serving of Sausage and Toast?" didn't add up to the cost on the menu... As for the rest i considered it overpriced. I wasn't around for lunch or dinner... Menu Choices really didn't meet my tastes, or diet... My biggest Gripe: The nearest Handicapped was 200 paces from my room. I struggled to get my travel bags there and back. Handicapped access is substandard at the doors. After 10pm they are locked and there is no key access pad on the switch stand. If you are in a wheel chair or using a walker or crutches I would expect it to be difficult or impossible depending on the age and infirmity of the individual to activate the key lock and then the door switch on the post. I personally watch some older people struggle with this and tried it myself. (Hint: Try to navigate using a cane, walker, crutches, and an unpowered wheel chair...) One of the doors didn't always close as it should after activating the opener. I found it open after hours. I imagine that you would call that a "Security Breach". Asked at the desk for a list of guest services. They don't have one, (Printing Costs you know...). Also asked for a brochure on the Hotel itself, Its history and the History of the facility. Again none available I'm told..
Your Custodial Staff. While my room was never made up while I was there... (I was under the impression that while service would be reduced due to staffing problems i didnt expect that.) I never missed a smile and courteous greeting from any of your Custodial staff an A++ and a "Good on'em to boot. With respect to the room and general overall appearance of the accommodations, A++. They are as good as any 3 star I've stayed in any major metro area in the USA.

United StatesService was non-existent, no room make up at all, waste baskets overflowed, if you wanted clean towels you had to go to the desk for them. Paper thin walls, sound traveled right through.
What breakfast? The shower was wonderful, but the floor was a bit slippery. Beds were comfortable. The decor was beautiful, the bar was nice, the Marino loft was neat but not open. The after party for the Wurst festival was great, super band! The machinery in the halls was fascinating. The townspeople and our fellow guests were great.

United StatesWe were in room 110 that had a common area just outside the door. Because of the acoustics in the common area we could clearly hear everything said by anyone passing through or any group of people visiting in the lounge chairs in the common area. We got back to our room about 7:00 and did not have any peace until about 10:15. I did go to the front desk at about 9:30 to let the front desk know that it was rather loud, not because the people were necessarily being load but because of the acoustics, and she was very nice and said she would go down around 10:00 and ask the people to move to the lobby area. She did as she said and then it was quiet so we could sleep.
It was a really nice clean spacious hotel.
