The Modern is our go-to hotel in Boise; the rooms are lovely, the breakfast is delicious, the location is great and central, it's pet friendly, and the staff are extremely nice. We've always had great experiences there.

I always enjoy my stay here, today this place really started to grow on me as my go to spot in Boise. This time I was placed in a large room in the adjacent building rather than in the garden style rooms. Honestly I loved it over here and it was so quiet! I enjoy the simple breakfast downstairs, it's wonderful. It's not the cheapest but I suppose for the quality it is absolutely affordable. My favorite part of the rooms are the modern and beautiful showers. It is a great walkable location downtown. Modern is a great safe quiet place to get some sleep and tasty food and drink in Boise.

Everything was great! When the road construction is finally over, it will be even better!

Despite the road construction that seems ever-ongoing, there were no interruptions to finding the hotel, parking or to our sleep. The breakfast was healthy, quick and delicious. We were within walking distance to all of the places downtown that we had planned to visit.

Such a fun place to stay. The staff goes all out for guests. The rooms are not fancy, but very comfortable and “modern”. The location is perfect for downtown walking & the breakfast is fantastic! We have stayed 3 times in past years & plan to stay again at the Modern.

I truly can’t think of a single thing

These are the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. Plus, the bar and breakfast has insanely delicious food and cocktails. Everything is so unique and clean, I love this hotel

Parking is limited but we’ve always found a space.

Very modern upgrade from 1950’s motel, and is truly a “modern hotel”. Breakfast is real food and excellent coffee and tea, unlike every other hotel we’ve stayed at. This is the third time we’ve stayed here over 5 years, and we pay a bit more to stay in one of their suites — essentially 2 1950’s motel rooms combined into a nice suite. Good restaurant but we prefer for dinner to walk to downtown — lots of good restaurants within 1/2 mile.

The breakfast was a bit lacking. A few more choices would've been nice. A snack machine would've been nice.

The location was excellent. Walking everywhere is important to me. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. They had bikes available, and there is a beautiful trail nearby. I would stay there again.
