The blatant lie about having a fireplace. It’s why I picked it. My receipt prior to even said my room had one. No rooms do. People should get a partial refund.

Small parking lot meant we parked on street overnight. Manager wanted us to give him $100 cash for cleaning deposit if we kept bikes in room.

Tiny room, felt like a motel six with a marble shower. No closet or even a stick to hang clothes. Staff was rude and then they were all having a loud conversation at 7 am on a Sunday morning after we drive and arrived late. Had to ask them to keep it down. Bad location, down the street from a nude theatre and at least 3~4 miles from Fisherman’s wharf and a Monterey. Save your money. No way I’m staying here again.

The gentleman working in the office was very sweet and accommodating. My family and I needed to extend our stay for an extra night, and he made it very easy. There was easy parking for us as well.

We weren't allowed to use the heater "due to risk of structure fire". We had to rely on the gas fireplace only and were freezing the whole 2 day stay. The room was tiny and not too easy to navigate. The shower head seemed to be about 30 years old and the water was not warm enough and almost no water pressure. I would love for staff to contact me to try to make this better. This experience was way not what we were banking on for the price.

Location was nice. Staff was friendly. Bathroom was clean.

I would never stay there again, it was like staying at a pay by the hour room. Dirty, small, not comfortable at all. Matress was discusting and worn out. This was not worth the money even as cheap as it was.

Even though they had redone the flooring. The paint was old, the bed old, the trim and walls had stains. Very small rooms. The doors slam. They started to update things but it was still really dirty and old looking. I had my hands full and did not catch the door coming in at 10:30pm from work and recieved a complaint from the room next door. Come to find out that was their maintenence guy. I have never had a complaint at any hotel for being loud, I stay in hotels frequently for work, at least once a week. Not to mention the smell of Curry everywhere.

Room was very small, WAY over-priced for what you would expect. Man at the front deck acted very stressed out much of the time, apparently dealing with guests whom he was trying to check out. The 'feature" of having a fireplace in each room was of no value whatsoever. It was a tiny electric fireplace (I assume it passes as the room heater in colder weather months) that just took up space and added no value. It certainly had no charm. When I got up in the morning, I couldn't get the shower to turn on. I complained to the manager, who came to the room, and he had to pull and turn the knob a certain way, and with much difficulty, to get the water to turn on. He apologized, said that he forget to mention it when I checked in. For me, it was too late for instructions or apologies. A customer shouldn't have to guess or receive special instructions on how to turn on a shower. I immediately checked out (never did take a shower), and couldn't get far away fast enough.
