How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I was unaware of a $150 security. Harder they took out on my arrival. When they took it out they recharged me for the room, though when I. Allows them at the time I saw it in my account, they immediately fixed it. No shampoo in the room. Didn’t see the note about it til we were about to leave. The area of the building is undergoing construction and is in sad shape. This is no fault of motel 6 or their staff
Comfortable, close to the places we needed to be. Clean. Desk clerks were friendly

Staff made a mistake on my billing and came banging on the door at 9:00 at night! I told them that they were in error and didn’t receive an apology!

No coffee machine, or hairdryer in the room. The bed springs on one side were far too soft (broken?) . Had to request change of room. Bed not much better. Glad we were only here for 1 night. Nothing to eat nearby, other than the restaurant in the Crowne Plaza.

TV channel selection SUCKS - Only local channels. TV was set up so as not to connect anything to it. You can't even lower the volume than a preset level. They are worried about TV thefts! Hotel is near a busy street intersection. So, be prepared to hear traffic noise all the time.
Room on top floor. Room was clean. Free & plenty of parking

No fridge, walls and ceiling are paper thin. Head the upstairs all night long and I think they were just walking.
Close to the airport and offers a free airport shuttle.

a box of kleenex would have been nice. Accessibility issues were dealt with only as requested.

No phone in the room. We were in 3rd floor and some guests were running laughing and talking loud in hallway at 12am and we could not complain

We thought the price was a little high but not being from the area maybe all hotels in Anchorage were high.
Motel 6 served our purposes well as we only stayed overnight. We didn’t need a lot of amenities so it was fine that they didn’t have a hot breakfast, etc. We especially liked the shuttle service to and from the airport. That was a big plus for us.

Doors get locked at 11pm except the main entrance. I understand the reasoning but it is still an inconvenience.
Staff was great! Good central location. It's a Motel 6 don't expect anything amazing but for a decently priced stay in Anchorage it's enough.

Less friendly morning staff on this stay Pricey for the amenities (no fridge or microwave) Second floor room had creaking from room above us until 2AM. Our first stay on first floor had no noises during the night.
Check-in staff was awesome...same person both stays. Great potty yard and disposal for my service dog. Plenty of raised luggage racks and luggage caddy. Hot water with good pressure. Clean.

The location was a bit out of the way.
It was clean, and the space in the rooms was good. The rooms were comfortable and warm. It was an OK budget motel but still expensive (but then that's Anchorage for you).

 Relatively mediocre accommodations for the amount of money charge. In comparison to the rest of Anchorage,, it was relatively inexpensive.
It was well located near the airport. It had an adequate restaurant close by. The weather was not nice, so it was nice to have things close. The rooms were clean, very basic, with a comfortable bed. It was only a one night stay before taking off again. It was very expensive for what you got. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The shuttle work very well.
