How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It's dirty & loud. Toilet has issues and it over flowed took it to 3hrs to get to room to clean it. Was half way across the room by then. Went to front 3 times even asked for a mop so we could get it out of our way. Also not all out lets work. Looks like it is under construction.

There was no cold water and I burned myself trying to take a shower.

shower had no hot water; had to bath in the sink. no television service and the wifi wouldn't stay connected and when it was connected it would not connect to most of my work related sites and when the smoke detector wouldn't stop beeping their solution was to remove the battery.
the Breakfast offered was a coffee craft if you where willing to work around there construction

room looked as if it was never cleaned, jetted tub did not work, cockroaches, bed bugs, broken glass pipes, cigarette burns on furniture, sheets were either stained bad or never changed, cob webs all over, trash all over.

Roaches all over the room. Talked to staff. No other room available. Then asked if we wanted a refund. Duh. Wasn't giving money to them. Had to many guests in the room (roaches) already.

what didnt i like?? where do i begin… • the smoke alarm goin off at four am in my room while im sleeping. mind you. there is no smoke in the building • the cockroaches in the bathtub and bathroom. • Night staff • Stinks •poor ventilation
I liked when I left the property. I enjoyed leaving so much because I knew the stay was done an over with. I would like if this motel didnt exist. so than that way no one else has to deal with such a bad place to stay.

The hotel was disgusting nasty and filthy. I walked in the room and walked back out. Everything was out dated and just awful. Immediately requested a refund. Never ever again. I wouldn't want my dog to stay there. Please refund my money.

Not clean enough. 2 cockroachs. Smell.
Non smoking room reeked of smoke. TV didn't work. I was shown 2 other rooms. I chose the best smelling room. This room had 2 queens rather than 1 king. Not a big deal but 1 had crumbs or something resembling crumbs in bed. Pillows looked used. We slept in bed I believe was clean. Pillows looked like they had been laid on. Took our own Pillows from car to room. Will never stay again.

It is very dirty and run down and the pet urine smell is overwhelming. Rooms not cleaned, many thing broken, trash everywhere inside and out. Bugs and dried poop on floor.

Room was not cleaned! Loose stuff on carpeting. Washcloth stuffed atop shower curtain rings. No glasses, ice bucket. Horrible carpet stains. Two beds did not look alike. Bugs flying around. Desk lamp askew. Surprised outlets worked for phone etc. Hallway smelled. We think people are living in this facility; perhaps on drugs. Tried to get another room but they were sold out. Tried to get into motels we could see out the window. All were filled. Local football game. Would never stay in this filthy place again. Seriously, do not let the cheap rate suck you in. You will regret.

Room was filthy, bed sheets were stained and extremely dirty. Bed had left over food under the blankets. Bugs all over including cock roaches! My son and I left within 5 mins of showing up there! Took 2 hours of calling other hotels and paying 4 times more than then I did to book this room. Sorry but extremely pissed off!
