United StatesPulling into the hotel is a nightmare. 3 ways to enter, but all were completely torn up and it was impossible to get into the parking lot without scraping the bumper of my car. Bad steep inclines, with terrible pot holes. The manager was nice during check in, but became very short and dismissive the 3 days after. Any time I tried to speak with him, I couldn't finish a sentence before I was cut off and waved away. The ice machine never worked, and when I asked the manager about it, he blew me off and made excuses. Out of ice, it will be working soon, I don't know with a motion to leave. Even with maintenance there, it never got any attention to be fixed. You couldn't walk through the lobby to get to the vending and laundry area, you had to take a long walk around the entire hotel. Very inconvenient when doing laundry and having to carry clothes and detergents. Understanding covid restrictions, but the lobby is very huge and there is plenty of room to maneuver with a safe distance. The walk around to the vending and laundry area isn't completely covered to where you and your things can avoid getting rained on. Clean laundry and rain do not mix well. There was also a $40 deposit, that wasn't noted on this site, and I didn't find out about until I had checked in completely. I was told we would get it back if we checked out by the 11:00am check out time, which we did the day we left. I also gathered up the trash and the dirty towels and placed everything by the door. Wiped down the tables and counters due to taco spillage (which is inevitable). Our initial stay was for one day, but we ended up staying an extra couple of days. We paid before the check out time each day when we stayed the extra days to make sure we would get the deposit back. We paid this deposit with our bank card, but weren't told that it would take 3-5 days for it to be returned.
The hotel is conveniently located to downtown but yet was a quiet stay. Not much traffic noise or hotel employee noise. The double bed room was spacious and wasn't cramped or over packed with too much furniture. I liked the separation of the bathroom and bed/sleeping area. Made it better for my husband to shower and get ready without the bright lights beaming into my eyes or the loud noise of fans and running water. The housekeeping staff were very polite and respectful. They would knock quietly and wouldn't stand at the door asking a bunch of questions. Also very quiet while working in other rooms. We didn't hear their carts banging and dragging around outside. The non-smoking rules of the hotel was nice because my sheets didn't smell like an ashtray or have burn holes all in them.

Only problem is this property, unlike the others, is charging me a cancellation fee and refusing to refund it. There claim is that I never showed up to the property. I guess I just decided to go spend more at the property that I was able to find a room at. Terrible attitude when I called the property and spoke to the manager. As long as they make their money though, who cares. Customer satisfaction and service is very lacking. If the $65 is that important to them, they can have it. Very unsatisfied with this business. Very satisfied with the other businesses in town that resolved the issue of not being able to accommodate me and doing what is only the right thing to do!!
