Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe beds were very soft, to the point where they were not comfortable. Felt like a hammock, left me with a sore, stiff back. Lots of things need fixed or improved. *Edit to add* - tried to book the same room and was treated extremely rudely by the staff. I was criticized for having an opinion on a bed...guess that's what happens for honesty in a review. I have since cancelled the upcoming reservation and have already booked at a different motel. If you stay here and leave a review, it better be a 10/10 or be prepared for rudeness from the staff.
The room was larger than normal. In addition to the 2 queen beds, it had a couch, table with chairs, and a glider chair. The extra room was amazing!

United StatesIt's an old place, not a criticism, but anyone booking this motel should be aware. The rooms are small, but that was fine for just me. I'm not sure if there is WiFi, my cell phone didn't detect any signal, but I didn't really need it so I didn't ask about it (they may have it).
The staff is nice and helpful. It's fairly quiet, so I didn't have any trouble sleeping. The price is great! Outside doorway, a single floor, so it's just a few feet from the car to room. The small refrigerator worked well but may not keep things frozen (but I didn't need that).

United StatesThe temperature was controlled by the office. I opened the window to cool down before I went to bed and pushed bedspread aside as I get warm when I sleep. I did not find it an enormous problem since I could open and close the window.
The room was vintage 1950s, but everything was in working order and clean. I appreciated the easy chair where I could read before bed. There was a stain on the bottom of the tub (but it is older than me) but the tub was clean. The bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.
