Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenBreakfast included doesn't mean a breakfast buffet or anything. It's like any café you would go to: you choose from the menu and order it. Also, we had paid for breakfast in our reservation, and it was really confusing that they didn't really know about it at first. It took us some explaining and showing our reservation for being exempt from paying. Also, there is a NY fee that you can eat/drink at the restaurant, but we didn't get to spend it because of your super short stay. The location is great, close to the Brooklyn Bridge, the new WTC, and several metro stations. However, it takes around 25 min by metro to get to Times Square, for example.
It's a modern hotel and everything was new and looking good. The breakfast area is also a bar/restaurant so you can expect music and lots of people in the evening. That was nice. The decor was cool, and the Brooklyn Bridge view from the corridors was beautiful! We left our bags at the hotel after check out and came to pick them up when it was time to leave. Everything was in order, and we could use the restaurant toilets to freshen up a bit and change clothes before our flight.

United StatesThere was little to no storage in the room. I would recommend adding more storage instead of a large swinging seat that wasn't utilized. The food was overpriced and mediocre.
The location was great. Very close to the subway station. The bed was comfortable. They had some fun games to play..

United StatesOne employee working at first behind the bar on 12/29. She charged me more money for the same drink that afternoon that I had ordered the previous night. It was a Moscow Mule. The night before I was charged 17 and she charged me 19. I didn’t dispute this and simply paid her the extra amount. However that evening when I returned with my daughter to play skee ball- we took 2 sodas from the little snack corner. I went up to pay for them and had seen the price list hanging next to the items. Sodas were listed at 3 dollars each. She was now serving tables as there were new bartenders for the night. When I asked her if I could pay her for the sodas she said of course. Then told me it would be 9 dollars. This time I spoke up! I said “no” to her and told her the sign said 3 dollars each. She simply said to me - “oh ok. I need tax one minute.” She went to the register and then told me I owed her 7 dollars. I paid her the 7. But I did not like being taken advantage of. There is not a price list in the bar for drinks (nor should there be) but I believe she was randomly making up amounts for drinks and possibly keeping the difference from the actual amount. I did not tip her for this reason. Other than this- it was an amazing time at an amazing hotel. We will recommend to our friends.
We enjoyed almost every thing. The room was awesome and beds were comfortable. The lobby was a great place to hang out both before and after being out for the day. Almost every person we interacted with was very helpful.

Serbia2 elevators: 1st one is going to the bar, and only the second one - to hotel rooms. The atmosphere of a club, not a hotel.
A good hotel, close to everything, therefore is a great option to stay if you don't have any specific plans. The room is nice and comfy, WiFi, bathroom, the room is really well soundproofed and clean, if you can find a good deal - a great place to stay!

BelgiumThe room was quite small, not much equipped (minimal). 3rd floor was noisy with music and some people partying but you don’t hear it from your room.
The hotel location was quite good, in financial district near 9/11 memorial and Brooklyn bridge. The room was ok, with a view on high buildings. Breakfast was available at the bar on the 3rd floor and you could choose from the menu. Possibility to leave your luggage at the reception after check out.

PeruOne aspect that left me slightly puzzled was the explanation about the tax usage. The information provided was a bit confusing, and I found myself struggling to grasp the details. It would be beneficial if the hotel could enhance the clarity of this information, perhaps through more straightforward language or additional resources for guests to refer to.
My overall experience was positive. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for my stay. The simplicity of the checkout process was a standout feature, making my departure hassle-free. The lobby and bar areas were tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. I particularly enjoyed spending some downtime in these spaces, whether it was sipping a drink at the bar or simply relaxing in the lobby.
