It was hard to get the TV working because you had to be a on specific channel to get service. It would have been nice if someone at the front desk had mentioned that first thing. I also didn't like that you had to buy pots and pans/silverware/cooking utensils in order to use the kitchenette. Who's going to buy that stuff just to lug around while on vacation?

My room wasn’t ready until 5pm. I was told there were staffing shortages. Room had a kitchenette but absolutely no utensils of any kind. A few basics would have been useful.

The room had definitely been smoked in. We decided to just deal with it, but that was our mistake. We should have gotten another room. The other issue is for the night that we “didn’t” stay. We were initially going to leave then return to Ketchikan in a few days and stay one more night at “My Place”. Our plans changed, and before I checked out from our first night, I asked the front desk to cancel our reservation for the following weekend, which she said she would do. I ended up getting charged for it because I forgot to cancel with Booking.com. Yes, my mistake, but the hotel knew I wasn’t going to be there so they could obviously rent the room to someone else. They had three days prior notice to cancel. I have complained through Booking.com and the hotel, but still no refund. I’m hoping they will reconsider as I do not intend to drop this.

Location to the ferry was great. Lizzie, at the front desk was great and helped us stow our luggage until the room was available. The coffee in the lobby was also very good and they kept up with it.

The room had obviously been smoked in. It wasn't overpowering, but it was bad enough that we chose not so stay there for our second night. The room was very clean, with the exception of the smoke smell that was still present. The other item that was weird is that the room is equipped with a cook stove, but no cookware or even silverware. I noticed that they had some cookware in the store next to check-in, and it's possible they would have loaned us some cookware/silverware had we needed it, so I'm not really critiquing that item in this review.

The staff and location were great. The coffee bar was always stocked and very good. The location to the ferry was excellent. They also have free washer and dryer service which is a bonus.

Our original room was very nice and clean, ect. Myplace has very nice staff who are willing to help you whenever you may need it. We had to switch rooms because of a booking mistake and the room we switched into was not clean. But, when I told the staff they instantly started working on it and got it clean for us in no time!

I loved the location, how easy it was to get checked in. I like that you have a fridge, stove, microwave and sink. The night staff that checked me in was friendly and helpful.

It took us an extremely long time to get into our room-apparently short staffed? Our bathroom was not cleaned. There was toothpaste drippings in the sink, 2 hairs in the bathtub, the toilet had not been wiped out and the bottom of the toilet still had stuff on it. I had Clorox wipes in my car so I cleaned the bathroom myself. I couldn’t tell the front desk person this information because there was no one there and when there was someone there, it was a line of people waiting to talk to them.

There was no breakfast other than oatmeal due to supplier problems is what I was told. Oatmeal is not something my family eats but even a little thing of cinnamon rolls would have been nice to offer

Check in was at 3:00pm. We arrived at 3:30 and still had to wait an hour and a half to get into our room. We made reservations over 90 days before our trip yet other people came into the hotel after us with no reservation and got into their room before we did. Strange.

Short staffed, short on products such as bottled water and tooth brushes in the mini store by the front desk. Had to wait quite often for someone at the front desk because they were short-staffed. Not their fault though
