The phone booth wasn’t as beneficial because the sound wasn’t blocked, meaning it didn’t seem to be sound proof whenever someone was using it. It was interesting how modernized the space was, but there was no coffee machine, like a Keurig. There weren’t many tea options either, like black tea or chai. Also, it was sad to know that the cafe below the hostel wasn’t open during the week and only open on very limited hours on the weekends. I wish there was another common area to meet other travelers, possibly on another floor. The room was a tad cold and idk if there was a way for travelers to control the room temperature. Also, getting up to the top bunk was a challenge because of having nothing to really hold onto. You really have to be careful!

Loved how modernized it was, in terms of their new-aged use of technology, from unlocking doors to communication with the desk. The pods were cool and provided privacy! The bathroom and showers were always kept clean. The kitchen was a nice, a good place to chill.

Great central location. Good kitchen with coffee and tea, hot water etc. Private bed space with adequate lighting and charging points. Good showers. Not particularly busy whilst I stayed there which was good. Staff friendly. Safe. Easy to get in and out of the building. No concerns about safety or safety of belongings. Comfy bed.

That they didn’t have a designated area for smoking. You have to smoke 15ft away of the property it’s ridiculous and with that cold.

The entire bed frames are metal so definitely need to be conscious of knocking against anything. They're a fairly good size so not as much of a problem, just something to be aware of. And as another review pointed out, you'll need a thinner lock for the locker. But it fit my rolling carry-on which was great!

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed, room, bathrooms, and common area were clean and well maintained. Very helpful to have access to a fridge (with labels and pen readily available), microwave, and hot water for tea. Individual beds had an outlet and a light and were provided a towel. Short walk to some fun locations and the immediate surrounding area felt safe. The building and rooms were secure. I'd definitely stay here again!

The pure metal used for the pods mean it’s really easy to make noise. I was in a 4 bed female and everyone was quite considerate but you can’t help to notice slight contact make huge clangs.

Clean, the pods are set up with curtains so you get good privacy. The shower room have been pretty quiet whenever I used it. The location felt safe. This was my key concern when selecting a place in SF and it did the job. As far as my stay, people were generally working professionals. It’s could be local people who are simply looking for an affordable place to stay as well as solo travellers. I’d say people were 25-50 years olds. However, through rebranding, it may all change.

The bunkbeds are made out of metal. Thats why it can happen, while moving within, that you hit the sheet metal what can be sometimes unpleasent. However, being mad from metal and well manufactured the beds are quite stable.

First off all the remarkably friendliness and commitment of all members of stuff to keep the house clean, safe, calm. That's why it is a place where you feel welcomed and well. Logistically easy to reach it is also a place from where you can start easily exploring the city. There's some food stores and restaurants around. Big lockers in the room for your belongings. You sleeping cabin can be really dark, if you want. Came I back to SF I wound stay there again for sure. Hope, all members of stuff are doing well.

It is close to the public transport. Facilities (bed, kitchen, restroom, showers) were all very clean and regularly cleaned. You can fit a mid sized luggage easily to the locker in the room.
