Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe were looking for a quiet & cozy place. The lodge is not in a quiet, secluded, wooded area - as pictures would have you believe. Our room, the executive suite - the most expensive room on the property - was located next to the very loud bar which runs until midnight. We had no idea there was even a bar on the property. We asked to be relocated to a more quiet room or given a partial refund. We just wish the bar location had been disclosed on booking and that we had the option to choose a room on the back of the property, more quiet.
Clean, proximity to town, courteous & helpful staff

United StatesThe pictures on the website were misleading. While I’m sure those rooms do exist, I was led to believe that I would be getting one of those nicer rooms. My room was super tiny. Also, I understand that lighting outside the rooms are a necessary safety feature, the curtain in my window was not wide enough to cover the entire window and I had light shining in my room all night.
It had a relaxing rustic atmosphere and it was close to New Hope’s main attractions.

United StatesTowels (see above). No coffee pods in room. Better housekeeping.
I did not have the breakfast. I think it was muffins. Not sure. Only saw muffins and coffee when I checked in. We did not make breakfast nor do I know if a breakfast was being had. There should have been coffee pods in room, there were not. Had to go to front desk. The towels were terrible. They look like motel 6 towels. The rooms were very nice. The floors need a better mop as I wore socks for an hour and my white socks were black after walking around. We did not receive any housekeeping during the stay. I do not know why. I had the "service please" sign on door. I was able to obtain more towels from the front desk. The bar at the hotel was very cozy. Location was perfect. Central to everything

United StatesThe rooms could have used a bit of sprucing up-especially the doors and flooring. A box of tissues and a second mirror in the room would have been very nice. The only mirror was in the bathroom. Also, the bath towels needed MUCH improvement-they were barely bigger than a thin bath mat. Overpriced for a two-star hotel
Location was great! Only a few minutes drive to New Hope/Lambertville. Rustic, vintage feel-we had a second story room with an awesome deck overlooking the woods and pool. Large room with nice TV. Room and bathroom were clean.

United StatesI didn't like the room. The outdoor light was shining in our room at night. The refrigerator was old and made a constant tapping noise. The bathroom only had a shower stall and it was very tight. My friends in my group paid the same and had better rooms.

United StatesThe only thing that creeped me out as a single female traveler is that the door uses an actual key and there is no other bolt or chain on the door. Anybody could have a key to it.
It’s close to the riverside downtown area. It’s not for everyone but it was fine for me. I had a little balcony overlooking the pond. The office person was super nice. It’s literally a motel from back in the day. It has a window type A/C unit. Nice wooded area. There’s even a fire pit area if you are so inclined.
