We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesClimbing stairs to third floor to get to the room was worth the view.
The room was a beautifully decorated coastal room, light and bright with an outstanding water view, king bed, balcony with sliding doors and a private loft with queen bed, with another stunning water view.. Newport is a beautiful, quaint, coastal town.

We loved the central location, and in particular what a fantastic room we had with a life. All the little touches that made the stay comfortable from toiletries to comfortable bedding. The breakfast was fantastic as were the afternoon fresh baked cookies and coffee. Friendly staff, warm and accommodating.

United StatesSmugglers customers were rowdy and loud Friday night but I wouldn’t change our room because of that. By 1AM all was quiet and we slept in.
Location is perfect! Breakfast was very nice. Love the coffee, tea and cookies. Jane is lovely and super helpful. Actually all the staff are excellent.

The location, off Thames Street, is terrific. It is an easy walk to many fine restaurants which is handy due to the complexities of parking in the area. The parking was free in front of the Inn (late March), though may change depending on time of season? The breakfast is rather sparse (continental) but can serve if you don't require more than that. I would recommend going over to the Franklin Spa diner nearby (walkable) for a more substantial breakfast.

Very clean! Great location - close to all restaurants and shops! Quick trip so we didn’t see much of the inn besides our room. Would stay here again.

United StatesThe ice machine outside our door was noisy at times and the family above us had a small.child that we could hear running on the wood floors. Not their fault but with wooden floors, you can definitely hear the people above you.
The hotel location is great, right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. A nice continental breakfast and super friendly staff!

United StatesWe were on the 3rd floor and it is a walkup with tight hallways. This was not an issue for us but it could be for some who wouldn't want to or couldn't walk the stairs.
Hotel location was ideal, parking very easy, staff was very receptive and attentive, beds were comfortable, the room was quiet, and the view was very nice.

United StatesConstruction project ongoing and made the front of the building messy, We were told about it in advance that this was happening and it was understandably necessary to do it during the "off season".
Staff was very friendly and willing to help. The view of harbor from our room was exceptional and the large windows in the room and the breakfast room were perfect.
