Bed in last room we stayed in there was more comfortable.

Good size room, clean. Lots of parking spots. Pouring rain on Saturday, so we stayed in the room much more than we had planned.

Rooms are clean but need some fixes. Chair in room badly stained. Carpet new but not secured well in bathroom. Slideing door in bathroom on the inside stained. Could use a cleaning or coat of paint

Dirty laundry...lost clean laundry mesh bag

Improve laundry room.refurbish...blast out concrete...get new washer etc...414 became a curiosity...if you know anything about it please show and tell Patrons should be told about what train experience is about

bathroom heater did not work. hard to get the cabin warm. heater was not adequate. the replacement heater in the fireplace cutout did not work. there was a stove but no pots/pans, plates or silverware.

The room smelled musty. The window was open and the room really cold when I arrived. One blind didn't close. It was bright outside. One lamp plug was loose. Felt run down. No fault of the staff - the internet was down.

Location and the setting. The registration staff and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. When I asked for another blanket (there was one thin blanket and no spare), the housekeeping came promptly. The room eventually heated up - it took hours with an old inefficient heater.

Booked two rooms nonsmoking and the first smelled strong of tabacco so we switched it just to have the smell just as strong. It took a third switch to finally have a room without the smell. Rooms werent up to standard. Shampoo was empty or quarter full no extra towels provided etc.

The hair dryer in our room didn't work. Worse than that, there was a very bright light next to the large window that was on all night. There was a mini blind that was inoperable. A blackout curtain would have helped a lot for a good night's sleep..

The grounds were very pretty. I was surprised that continental breakfast was included.

I had talked to the people before my stay. They said that chalets had a Queen need and a make down bed. When i got there my room did not have a make down bed. I called them and they offered me a roll away bed. So one person had to sleep on the couch and the other on a roll away). Didn’t offer to change my room or anything. I made my reservation two months ago and the property told me that they had a make down bed in the room. The room was cute, but the sleeping arrangements really put a damper on our stay.

The room we stayed in was just old the most updated thing was the coffee maker. Chairs in front of the TV horrible. Won't stay here again.

A gas fireplace did not work in the cottage we stayed. The heater located in the living room is kind of loud considering there is no way to close the door to the bedroom since it would be extremely cold in there.

Stayed in Northern Queen Inn at the beginning of December to attend Victorian Christmas fair in Nevada City. Liked the location. It's possible to walk to Nevada City downtown in about 20 minutes or to get there by car and park on free public parking if there are spots available there. Liked the cottage is spacious: there are two separated by the door rooms - a bedroom and a living room/ dining room with a kitchenet space. Liked the balcony with a view to the forest.

Breakfast was virtually non-existand comprising of a muffin and a piece of fruit at best - forget the breakfast! The 'heating/air conditioning' unit was out dated and the loudest I have heard! Heat or sleep, make your choice.

The room was comfortable enough other than the outside appearance. I believe the outside of the building was being remodelled. The hotel is situated close to the highway 49 ramp so getting about was very easy.

Out of date rooms , tons of pot smoke everywhere , no pool or spa , the linens are pretty lame not very fluffy or absorbent and very small in size .

They have a strange secret policy were the magnetic room card expires the day before check-out day This happened all three times the afternoon before check out, regardless the number of days scheduled. Three days, five days and two more days secessive

The staff was awesome. Very friendly and professional. We needed to change 1 room and was quickly accommodated.

No breakfast and the location was a little quirky. The check in was a little odd -told a time and then had to wait. A clerk called and came to our room at 10:30pm to see if we had the right room....

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was a little quirky, but it was nice being outside the busy city. There was a small walking trail through a park and woods nearby that was nice.
