Latch on the door to the room would not lock no matter how hard I pulled the door handle - significant personal securty/safety issue. No one on duty even knew about this problem. But management got on it right away after being made aware of the issue. The bathroom shower curtain rod fell down on me after I took a shower and tried to open the shower curtain. Not a pleasant experience. Again, management went to work fixing the issue once made aware of the problem.

I’ve stayed here twice. The first time was fine, the second time I was told “no locals “ when I said we had just moved here. This is confusing to a new person in town. Why the policy on no locals? To my husband and I , it means we are not welcome if our generator goes out or we want to have friends in town. We are also business owners so this policy feels like a slight to local people. Unfortunately, we will not be staying again, nor bringing friends or family who need a place while visiting.

Horrible situation, staff was unconcerned with the problem, no refund

I booked 3 weeks in advance, but arrived on my motorcycle after a 400 mile day of riding in the freezing rain, hail, and snow to find that the hotel had overbooked their rooms and had no room reserved for me. I had paid in advance, and have received no refund or apology, only blame for Booking.com not sending my reservation through to the hotel, which is not how I believe the error occurred. All the other nearby hotels were also completely booked due to an emergency in the area which put me in an extremely dangerous position of continuing on and riding in extreme temperatures in the dark on my motorcycle. No apologies were made, and no refund was offered.

Should not be on booking.com if you don't accommodate other people besides railroad employees. Came to visit family from California Employees were very rude. There was a coffee filter left in the coffee maker. Don't know how long it was there.😝

The associated "Penny's Diner" was adequate. The menu was a limited. I got a patty melt sandwich for my dinner and it was OK - not great. The staff at the diner though was friendly and attentive. But I don't think I would eat there again if I had time to go elsewhere. Since my business took me to Los Lunas the next morning (13 miles up the interstate), I wound up having breakfast at the I-Hop restaurant there which was quite good.

Very clean comfortable room. Excellent staff - the front desk is staffed 24 hr. / day and they are helpful and cooperative. I travel in a full sized 4WD pickup and the parking was excellent. Absolutely no problem finding multiple very adequate parking places very close to my ground floor room. And it was QUIET and peaceful. No traffic noise, and the other guests were quiet and friendly.

Someone messed up big time!! Our reservation was confirmed, we had the information on the booking and confirmation number, but the hotel had no reservation for us. They were full. We had to search for a new motel late at night, drive down the freeway to another town— worst experience ever with Booking . Com and Travelodge.

Atmosphere was rather creepy. Older trashy cars on the lot. A lot of lurkers on the premises. Receptionist said it was "due to the diner, which is busy all night." As a guest, I felt that rooms were offered as another side business on the chance they might turn a dollar. The diner was obviously the main attraction. I guess it's OK for Belen, NM, but much like similar diners I've seen elsewhere.

Clean, OK for the night. Wouldn't have wanted to drive any further after a day of flight. I was in the separate annex on the other side of the diner from the motel office. Comings and goings all night: not loud, but nonstop.

We were towing a small uhaul trailer but never thought to ask about parking. We had to park behind Pennys Diner next door and since we had an inner room we were unable to keep an eye on it thru the night. Safe area so all was fine in the morning.

Very friendly staff. Was clean and fairly updated. Enjoyed walking next door to Pennys Diner for dinner and breakfast. Enjoyable overnight stay.

No in room coffee. Rooms are reserved for Railroad workers. I had no choice in room facility was full with RR workers who get first pick. NOT paying guests. Will never stay here again
