Andy was a very nice and responsive host! We were in Hawaii to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and asked if there was anything special that could help make our trip more memorable, and we were surprised to see beautiful flowers and chocolates on the table when we arrived! The place itself was very clean and had all the basic necessities. I don't think there was AC but it wasn't very hot and there was a fan. We also got lost finding the place late at night, but Andy picked up the phone and helped us! He suggested cool local spots to checkout as well. The outdoor dining was great when we got takeout for dinner one night. Since we were in Hawaii for almost 1 week, it was very nice to be able to use the laundry room as the other places we stayed in did not have that amenity. I would highly recommend staying here, we had a wonderful experience!

The room was super nice with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We loved having a private balcony to have our coffee in the morning and free internet service. The communication with the property manager was excellent!!! Only a short walk to Makuu Point to relax and enjoy the beautiful area.

Really nice place, big island weather is super hot sometimes, this apartment is really close to the ocean so as the name itself indicates the ocean breeze gets to the balcony.

This place was excellent for us. But be aware that the place is meant for a very peaceful vacation - there are no bars or restaurants very close (Pahoa is ~15 min drive and Hilo is ~ 25 min drive), and the place is located in a quiet neighborhood .

Very clean and well maintained room, good quality facilities. Having free parking, free laundry, coffee machine, minibar and microwave was a plus for us. walking distance to Pacific Ocean - amazing views of big waves breakers, great place to see sunrise. Loved having our morning coffee and Hawaiian cookies in the balcony. Very conveniently located if you are visiting the volcanoes national park.

Nothing unpleasant to report!

Andy was very nice and communicative. Very nice to have a porch facing the ocean on the second floor. It is so relaxing to lay in the bed with the door open and listen to the ocean.

Ocean Breeze is a very cozy, efficient, modern and clean accommodation. The host, Andy, is very kind, responsive and maintains the property very well. It is a great place for a small group and close to the ocean. Laundry facilities are available for those that like to pack light. A quiet and nice neighborhood to go for walks.

It seems Andy is still developing the property ( a gazebo is being built) and it's only going to get better! A few suggestions to make it cozier: more wine glasses! We only had 2 and we were four people. We could have used sandwich and storage bags for the lunches and snacks we took with us. We got creative! A few guide books for planning excursions would be helpful. Also an info/instruction sheet for guests would be nice. While we could text him, info such as where to find items, closest grocery store and restaurants, what to do on leaving in the apartment is useful. These are minor items but will put the Ocean Breeze Inn on par with other rentals.

Ocean Breeze Inn was a lovely spot to explore the Hilo side of the Big Island. We had two bedrooms and the kitchen for our stay. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. We appreciated the use of the laundry room as well as the cooler and beach chairs found there. Andy, the owner, is right next door and very responsive. I reached out for beach towels and he was there in minutes. He communicated quickly and greeted us with info on the neighborhood and his favorite spots. Don't miss taking a walk at Makuu point. It's worth getting up for sunrise! The unit does not have AC but the trade winds and floor fans kept us cool. It's a bit of a drive back to the main road and town so I suggest you get groceries on your way to the Inn. But being at the end of the road makes it peaceful. Everyone we met was quite friendly - who wouldn't be in such a beautiful spot!

Our host, Andy, was super friendly and accommodating. He offered some great recommendations that did not disappoint. The location is so close to the ocean it was nice to fall asleep and wake up listening to it. We loved our view from the balcony. Walking distance to Maku’u point.

There was nothing that we did not like.

I wish I could give Ocean Breeze Inn an eleven! The location of this facility was three houses from the ocean and we could see it from our balcony. The communications from Andy was exceptional and the use of a washer and dryer with soap on site was a huge plus! The utility room where the washer was located also had plenty of trash bags, coolers, snorkeling equipment, and beach chairs that we could borrow. The cleanliness of our room was also exceptional.

Loved the stay! My brother worked from the house and the wifi was great 😁 we also requested late check in and Andy was super accommodative! 40 mins to Mauna Kea and Volcanos national park. Would surely recommend!
