Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe reception person at Ocean Towers wasn't very friendly in general and when I asked about the parking fee he said I had to talk to the main Hilton reception about waving the parking fee. When I asked the main Hilton reception they apologized several times that Ocean Towers person had sent me to them because Ocean Towers is responsible for the parking fees. The main reception Hilton person said she would call them. I think she did because the parking fee wasn’t on our final bill.
The breakfast was okay. Some of the options were a bit dried out and I don’t think the scrambled eggs were real.

United Statesvery disappointed in the kitchen aspect of our 1 br condo no kitchenware, no cups, no plates no silverware, no microwave was totally unacceptable- I was going to buy a micro wave but after we lobbied very hard to several people we received a small microwave for the condo for a 1 br and a 10 day stay the minifridge was nearly worthless it needs to be larger single serving coffee pot without the coffee pods was worthless, we bought a coffee pot at walmart in Kona the deck was nice & large BUT if you sat in a chair the solid deck wall blocks any views unless you stand up finally we stayed in ocean tower it was over 1 mile to the parking lot either a 20 minute walk or 20 minute tram ride shuttle tram is very slow- particularly as it waits 5-6 minutes at a stop. also to pay $50 per day for the privilige of walking a mile to get your car was awful. makes it hard to go places to golf, sight see etc. the resort needs a back way option for bicycles, or straight walk to parking areas- or find space to make the parking lot closer swimming pools need to be warmer- just too cold to be inviting the lagoon area water front was mud not sand, water was not clear.
we did not eat breakfast. it was not convenient to our condo and we heard it could be about $40 each for a simple regular breakfast. ocean views were exceptional, beauty of resort was very good, grounds exceptional, restaurants were very good KPC & Nui italian dolphins and the dolphin show were interesting

United StatesThe food was super expensive and just one restaurant was open in the evening
Nice property, I wish you can get a pool pass at the main hotel lobby without going on the train to check in. Also, super expensive food. We paid 136$ for one 16 inch pizza and one pasta that was delivered to our room. Cool place for kids and adults. They have dolphins( captive) and turtles on the beach and water....Many whales could be seen at sunset very close to the property....

Loved walking the beach. Didn't love the long walks to get to Ocean Tower. If you say in one of the towers closer to the main entrance, the better it would be.

AustraliaThe car parking cost is eye watering at 48 dollars per night. The distance of our ocean tower room is a 15 min walk from the car park. They have a train but it is slower than walking. There were not many food choices for the size of the property, also the room was dated but they are in a process of upgrading other rooms. Would also recommend getting a top floor as the soundproofing is not great.
Great location surrounding the bay. Access to ocean for snorkelling. Lots of tropical fish and turtles. The resort is very well run and maintained

United StatesThere was not enough chairs at the adult pool. There was plenty of space for chairs, but none to be found. Also, it would have been nice to have some floats to relax on in the pool.
The breakfast food was good. The location was nice, but overall cost was a little pricey.

United StatesNot good value for price. Prices are out of control. $48 to park? Rooms are dated. Carpet was damp in places upon arrival. Erratic hours for services around the property as they still appear to be understaffed. Bathroom fixtures are old and rooms are an odd shape w/ popcorn ceiling still. Needs deep cleaning and new furniture. Some outlets didn’t work- found out when watch wasn’t charged in morning.
Not my first time staying here. Prefer Marriott, but was staying with a group. Of course the property location on Kona Coast is breathtaking.

United StatesWent to do the paddle board yoga on Sunday and the teacher did not show up. On Monday the class was full so didn't get to enjoy because no class on Tuesday. The Spa Receptionist encouraged us to come early to enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna. When arrived, learned that these have not been working for three years. The manager refunded 50% cost of massage. The dinner at the Kamuela Provisions was not worth $120. The rib eye steak was very fatty and the flourless chocolate cake was overcooked.
The staff at the reception were exceptional as was the concierge. The grounds are beautiful.

AustraliaOur only issue with the hotel was that we honestly didn’t want to leave but we had to at night because there was nothing to do after about 5pm. There was only about 2 restaurants and then 1 bar that were open after 5pm and they were generally quite expensive or set menus so we had to go elsewhere. The location is beautiful and on the warmest part of the island but it’s also quite secluded so there was 2 small shopping centres down the road but they were still either a 20 minute walk one way or a $5 shuttle/Uber to get to and even then, not heaps of options for food. If you had a hire car would be fine because you could drive the 25 minutes to Kona if you wanted to but without one we felt a bit stranded. I just think such a beautiful resort should have more bar areas and casual food places open later because no one wanted to leave but we had to!
The whole resort area between all the Hilton’s was incredible! We had absolutely no idea that it was connected to two other hotels that you could have wander between and without even leaving the hotel we swam with turtles and watched dolphins every day!! There is a massive lagoon private beach area which turtles and other seaside come into and you can snorkel, kayak, canoe, and much more with every day and further down a dolphin enclosure that does shows and encounters every day. This alone made the experience for us and made the money very worthwhile. The room and bathroom were very big and had an “island feel” and the balcony and view was beautiful. The staff were great, always happy to help and the shuttle service and tram to get to our hotel was also very handy as the whole area is so big to walk. We absolutely loved it here, didn’t even want to leave the hotel!

United StatesArrived during a downpour only to fid out the Tram was not fully operational. It seems very strange and quite inconvenient that there isn't additional parking over by The Ocean Tower & Palace Tower. Specially when the tram doesn't go the whole way. Also, signage about the tram was quite confusing...one section of signs directed us to Restrooms! We were placed in an ADA room so the shower was weird and our first morning had no hot water. That being said..the food we ate was very delicious, and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again, even at the price.
Beautiful grounds. Love the art along the walkways. Bed was extremely comfortable. So many pools!!!
