How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Dryer was not working, there was no sign up indicating that. I ended up having to go down one floor to the lobby to get my money then back up to collect my wet laundry only to take it to the next floor to dry.

there was little by way of food service at the hotel - just appetisers in the bar. But they did provide us with a lay of local eateries just 5 minutes away. The hotel felt a little weary in terms of decor.
For an early flight in the morning this was the best choice hotel to allow some sleep. The shuttle service was right on time and just 5 minutes from the airport.

Just be aware that there is only one shuttle per hour, which seems like not much for a hotel that is at the airport. Very long hallway to get to elevator.
It was close to the airport for our early morning flight. Room was clean, had coffee. Shuttle was reliable - we got there 15 minutes ahead of scheduled time and were last ones on. Quick ride to airport.

The hotel shuttle did not pick us up from the airport for over an hour and so when we arrived the restaurant was closing in 10 min and would not serve us. After a long journey it was rather frustrating.

Rooms appear a bit dated, an extra amenity fee charged on arrival came as a surprise not least since the rates are already Hawai’i-style high (they even call it a resort fee on the website - it wasn’t entirely clear from booking.com that this will be charged in addition to the quoted price). This fee seems rather unreasonable for this kind of accommodation - never had this at an airport hotel and no place on the islands charged us such a fee other than this place; “amenities” were few (no kettle, body lotion in the bathroom was empty, some towels had stains, and a cockroach paid us a visit, too) which leaves some bitter taste. Why not calculate this in the room rate if you don’t have anything special to offer as an amenity.
It’s an okay place, beds were overall fine, you get pretty much what you expect at an airport hotel of this category.

Nothing the hotel can change or is responsible for, but the neighborhood with its highways, petrol stations and industry is really ugly and there is nothing else to do.

Shuttle service every 1 hour is a bit low. Every 30 mins if possible would make it much more convenient.
Room was good and comfy. We only stayed for the night and had a good rest before our 10 hour flight back home. The shuttle service to the airport is convenient.

Didn’t have a restaurant that served meals. Opens at 5pm with snacks only. Some walkable small specialty food shops close by. Freeway noise

Price was high, especially the parking fee! My wife had surgery, we only slept there and parked overnight. Cost $500!!!

The early shuttles seem to be super busy so there is some nervousness over who will fit - best to come down well in advance.
Convenient for one night stay ahead of an early flight. We were able to drop off the luggage in the morning and come check in in the evening, very convenient. It’s possible to walk from the airport although it does take 15-20 mins along big roads, so wouldn’t recommend with lots of luggage.

Bed was lumpy.
