The clerk working on the morning of check out was not very flexible. We arrived around midnight asked for a late checkout and I spent the morning feeling sick, she wanted us out immediately and seemed impatient.

The lighting in our room-- overhead light was very bright, and bedside lamps, way too dim to read by or even see much.

The atmosphere and staff were absolutely great-- friendly, helpful, fun to talk to, but not intrusive. It feels personal, not stuffy, but guest privacy is respected.

Ojai Rancho Inn was the perfect stay! It was peaceful in the morning and during the day and then so fun at night at the chief's peak poolside bar! The whole experience was perfect, from the palo santo in each room to the rental bikes to the sauna! Loved it all!

I thought that directions for using the air conditioning/heating, particularly how to use the remote to control it, should have been in the room. Ditto for using the TV/ Cable/Streaming service .

The Inn was conveniently located, check-in was extremely easy and quick. The lawn/picnic area at the rear of the facility was delightful for relaxing and reading. Everything was as promised.

An issue was the bathroom door kept jammed shut and it took quite a bit of effort to yank it open. Overall the price was about $100 to high for the experience.

My wife would have appreciated better lighting in the room.

The location was great, near but not in the town. There is a bike path/trail just outside the back gate, so one can walk into town quite easily. We had a room at the back of the property, so it was quiet - no road noise.

Our room had an adjoining door to the room next to us, this meant we had a bit of noise from our neighbors. It wasn't awful but noticeable. We were in room 6 right next to the bar so you can hear the music until it closes at 10 pm. It didn't bother us at all and was not super loud, but it might bother some. The wifi barely reached our room.

We had an excellent stay. The hotel is really lovely and very well located. The room was very clean and spacious for two people. We were in room 6 which was towards to back of the property -this was helpful with road noise reduction as the property is right off of the main road. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is super cute with a grassy area and hammocks to lounge and spread out a bit. We enjoyed the coffee and little cookies in the lobby each morning as well.

1)If you don’t have the glaring overhead light on,the room was shockingly dark. Easy fix: just add a lamp to the desk. 2)Shower curtain is too short so water is sprayed all over the floor. Don’t leave your PJs there or they will get wet. Easy fix: longer curtain. 3) No place to put cosmetics etc. in the bathroom. I carried one of the bedside tables into the bathroom. Easy fix: narrow table next to the pedestal sink. 4)Electrical strip cord only on one side of the bed. Easy fix: add second electrical strip to the other side of the bed. 5)Bedside tables are raw wood and overtime have become stained and unattractive. Easy fix: paint cute color. At almost $400 a room all of these items really need to be addressed

The room was so cozy, felt like being in a cabin in the woods but right near town! Loved the sauna, the proximity to the bike path and the overall vibe that Ojai Rancho Inn creates. It just feels good being on the grounds!
