Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesHad to keep the AC on as the neighbor downstairs blared music. Didn't sleep very well because I traveled with my 5 yr old and the lock on the door could be opened with a credit card. TV didn't work and I had to unplug it to shut it off. Sketchy part of town.
It was very clean and the bed was absolutely comfortable. The owner was very nice. Easy check in/out

SingaporeI booked this hotel just before I hit the road. I set this hotel as my Google Map destination and started my journey. When I struggled in heavy traffic, I received their phone calls 3 times, and 2 text messages. I had to pull over my car at a small gas station and called them back, because I traveled with my mom, I have to make sure we can stay in somewhere instead of street, at night. OK, the man told me they were "fully booked" I had to agree with the cancellation. Alright, C'est la vie. That happens right? I understand and I said OK and send my confirmation number to let them cancel my reservation. I had no time to argue with them and booking.com this rubbish platform cuz I had to arrive my destination before midnight. I just booked another hotel and drove there. After we settled down, I checked booking app. Oops, something wrong. They didn't cancel my reservation and no response for my inquiry. I contacted booking.com customer service immediately and they said they will find an alternative hotel for me, at almost 11:30pm. I told them no need to do that just refund me, and I thought naively everything should be OK because this hotel has a high rates and bookings is a big platform. But nothing is like my expectation. The hotel told bookings they could accommodate me but I didn't show up. The bookings said they had nothing to do with this case just let the hotel charge me the whole amount. I also called the hotel the same guy answered my call and seemed like they absolutely understand my case and let me call booking.com to contact them. But when the customer service contacted them they said they weren't overbooked at all. OK, I guess I am the lier, right? That is my experience of this hotel and this rubbish platform.
Nothing, didn't get a chance to stay in this arrogant hotel.

Nothing booked our room and they took our money and the next day received a call saying they couldn't accommodate one of our days. So told them to refund our money because 1 day won't work. They guy said it would be 3 to 5 business days for our money to be refunded. We'll after 5 days still no refund. I know big shocker. So we called booking.com to try to get refunded and they said that we should have called them the day that the hotel called us saying they couldn't accommodate us. I explained to them that the hotel said it would be 3 to 5 days for our refund and thats why we didn't call them. So after alot of complaining and threatening phone calls to booking.com who are the ones that took our money and the ones that represent the hotel they finally said they'd refund our money. I know this is alot to read but to possibly help alot of people from being scammed I hope you take the time and read it. There double booking rooms and ripping people off. So hope you found this helpful and picked another hotel. Thanks

United StatesNow that I have your attention with that stellar 10 rating let me tell you that I didn’t get to enjoy my stay at all. You see, I received a phone call from someone who represented himself as a Pacifico Place B employee who claimed to be so sorry but thet motel was fully booked and could not provide any room for me and my wife. Since the call came after the cancellation period had ended and the person who called said he would take care of refunding the charges through Bookings.com I accepted the action in good faith. I booked another room in a different motel. Long story made short — the business appears to be run like a scam. Bookings.com made sounds as if to refund the charge. But their actions speak to the contrary. My advice to anyone considering using either business is beware and don’t believe the words without a written contract.
