Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesMade reservation/prepaid for non smoking room. Upon arrival-no one available to check us in-out for lunch,come back. Came back and was told no nonsmoking room avail. Insisted I’d reserved nonsmoking and must have it due to health. Was told they only had one NS but had no heat in the room. The man waiting in line behind us finally offered us his NS room which means he must’ve had one with heat?? We took the last room (& extra blankets offered) but it was a chilly room. No coffee pot, etc. it was disappointing to have reserved and paid for a room to arrive and that process to basically have been meaningless upon arrival. Not sure will stay at another motel 6 in the future.

United StatesI was denied a room because, the handicapped room i reserved did not provide me with my special request of a refrigerator and microwave. I was asked to pay more for those request. Although; I agreed to pay extra for refrigerator and microwave, i was told maintenance was not there to put special request in room. I was told by attendant because I have a knee injury I was a liability, and they could not allow me to stay at their Motel. So, I was turned away.

United StatesFor the first time ever, there was a cockroach infestation(ewww) so every night, they would come crawling from behind the television area, and from the cracks in the bathroom sink. I've stayed at this Motel 6 countless times, and NEVER experienced roaches, until this stay...very disappointed, it pretty much ruined our stay

He immediately went to bring it to the attention of the staff on shift that night and was laughed at and ignored. The property met our expectations, however the staff did not meet our expectations.
