The smoke detector kept beeping but we felt with it. I told the woman at the desk and she wanted to take care of it asap but my husband was sleeping.

The breakfast was the normal hotel breakfast. The dining area was very comfortable and clean.

Upon entering the room, the air-conditioner had not been turned on, so the wrong was extremely hot. Using the conditioner, there are not many preferences, so at times, the room was very cold, therefore; throughout the night, I had to make adjustments for comfort. Being a television watcher, there was not a wide variety of channels.

The room was not properly cleaned. I found several hairs long black hairs woven into the pillow cases on 2 of 4 pillows and one short black hair under the fitted sheet. I don't know about you but I prefer not to sleep with other people's DNA in my bed at night...especially on my face. if that was not enough the quality of the materials / bed linens was sub par. I would not even give my enemy these linens..they were stained or damaged and should have been removed from use. The uncleanness of the bed caused me to question the cleanliness of the entire room. What was supposed to be a relaxing evening away from being a mom,(I am also 5 months pregnant), turned into me wanting to run back home at 2am. I consulted the manager Tracy in the morning as I was told to do by her staff and booking.com. When I described the conditions she was quiet, so I asked "is this normal?' because she seemed unaffected by the report of a guest finding hairs. I used to be a housekeeping supervisor for a different brand, and I am naturally just a compassionate person. If a guest in my home found things like this I would have been mortified. All Tracy did was offer a lame apology and say she would speak to the person who cleaned the room. She then told me that her brand inspection had been exceptional and that she had great scores; thus she knew her rooms were clean. I congratulated her..but admitted I was not there for the inspection and this was my first time in her facility so how would I know that...and even if you get a 9 out of 10 on a cleaning score how you treat the 10th person who has a bad experience because of mistakes says more about who you are as a person and a manager. She told me I could have asked for a different room that I was never offered. Again I say why should that not be the standard? If a room is obviously not up to your "standards" why not immediately offer to move someone?

The front desk agent Valerie was both helpful and polite. I had several mishaps during my stay and she was always pleasant. Booking.com was great to work with.

The rooms were musty and damp. Bed was super uncomfortable. They were hesitant about giving us extra pillows. The bottom of the bath tub was dirty. Room was leaving much to be desired.

Location was superb for the Robins Theater. Literally a few minute walk. The steak restaurant next door was great too. Check in was easy as well.
