The high humidity in the room and the loud ac unit that continuously woke up my wife

The hotel had NO snack machines. There was a drink machine only.

The best part was definitely the balcony over looking the river. It was a great location and the scenery traveling back and forth to the hotel was perfect.

The only thing I can complain about is I'm not a smoker and someone called the office on us and said I was smoking on the balcony.

I have always like Baymont never had a complaint.

Sidewalk work and closure made it difficult to walk to downtown Gatlinburg.

Breakfast offered a good variety. Inside parking was a great bonus, as there was a potentially damaging hail storm during our stay. The river behind the hotel made for a beautiful setting, and provided white noise to mask other sounds.

The room was spacious and very clean and well appointed. The only downfall was the floors in our room needed to be deep mopped. My feet would be dirty just walking around for a few minutes. The luggage caddies are triangle shaped and small. My husband is on oxygen so we have to carry a lot of equipment on our trips. It was very very difficult to work with the triangle shape. Without the help of other guests, his Concentrator would have been on the ground floor outside the elevator and me inside headed up. 😔 Everything else was great, front desk personnel were friendly and efficient and the breakfast options were great.

The parking isn't great, thankfully the hotel wasn't busy for the 1 night we stayed. And the traffic all hours of night made it somewhat difficult to get a good night rest.

All rooms have balcony facing river, easy to get to, good value.

The apathy of the staff. When we arrived, we had to wait five or more minutes for someone at reception. When he arrived he was very mopey and did not seem happy with his job. In the morning, the sign for breakfast stated it would be opened at 6:30. We opened the door to the breakfast room at 6:32 and the lady was grumbling saying I am not ready yet. We had to get to the the Alum trailhead for Mount Leconte by seven and acquire a parking space. Time was tight and we wound up getting the last parking space. The lady serving breakfast had a nasty attitude and mumbled the entire time we were eating breakfast. We were laughing as it was like watching a cartoon character.

It was a perfect location for our hike up to Mount Leconte. The air conditioning work perfect, the beds were very comfortable, and enjoyed the river. The breakfast was very good..

Needed different items as far as hot breakfast stayed for three mornings and had same breakfast. The bacon was unpasteurized well as the biscuits

Parking was very odd. All of the untreated wood allows for the large carpenter bees, so the patio was not usable while the sun was up.

Location was great. We were able to walk to the shops in Gatlinburg. The little patio was nice.

The traffic noise was a little loud if you are a light sleeper bring a noise machine or fan. The parking right up front was a little crazy however the lower level is fine, I didn't find it unsafe as some said. it was well lit and the elevator went right down to that level. The breakfast was just meh but it was good to get you through the morning for a light breakfast.

The view of the River was beautiful, it was nice to sit on the balcony and listen to the river (you don't really hear the traffic from the balcony). The hotel room was very clean and the nice to have maid service every day. It was within walking distance from downtown and if you didn't want to do the 15-minute walk the trolley stopped at the end of the property
