How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Hotel did not provide clean towels dirty bathroom which we had trouble with cannot control the room temperature. Hotel does not provide nothing but a bed, microwave (outside the room) and a GREAT LOCATION by the beach

walls are very, very thin can hear neighbors TV on all night, dog crying all night because it was left in the room just maybe stay in the top floor with nobody walking above you, it might be more quiet

I didn't like the fact my TV wouldn't stay on for one, second my room AC wasn't working and third my shower wasn't comfortable being in because of the shower head shooting out jet stream only

Receptionists were not nice. They were kind of rude when asking something. Also, the receptionist was on his phone the check in day without caring about my concerns.

-Room was dirty especially the floor of our room, it was greasy and full of different hair, I had to stay with my shoes on. - The room was on the ground floor and had a window overlooking the laundry area, the window didn't lock and in the morning there was a guy speaking on the phone, he sounded like he was in our room. We had to keep the curtains shut.

It has great potential, the management does what they can with the limited resources the owner provides..
Excellent location, close enough to South Beach, Ventura Mall, 7 min walk to the beach (uncroweded), close to CVS and CitiBike stations.

The bed sheets old and dirty, towels the same, the toilet and shower were not clean.
I asked the stuff to clean the room and change the towels. Even didn’t respond 😲😨

The air conditioner can not be shutdown, because Is the same for all the hotel, In winter in Miami is not a good idea.

It was dirty, noisy, there was no dresser or drawers, the elevator was broken the whole time and the check in was difficult. It felt like staying in a youth hostel in a third world country.

The room was not cleaned and on the booking site it doesn't mention about a $100 deposit
The gentleman at the desk was very polite and helpful and honest We had an issue and he fixed it real quick

The noise in the hotel the walls are very thin can hear everything people waking talking in there rooms was hard to sleep some nights.
I liked that it was near the beach, public transportation, restaurants, and clubs.

The fact that there was no parking except for a few spaces they had that was $30 a night I had to park across the street at a public garage that cost me $36 for the night. Also plumbing broke under the bathroom sink, thank gosh the desk clerk from the night before gave me a bath towel so I had something to pick it up worth. All they gave me was a shower mat. The AC was excellent

The receptionist were not very helpful, like they're bored and sleepy all the time. Since it's a budget hotel, i thought at least it was clean, but there was a cockroach crawling on our door knob. We didn't see any inside the room, though. Next, the air-conditioning is worse - they have centralized type that is not blowing enough air to cool the room even with a ceiling fan. The walls are also thin, and we can hear other people moving, especially from the floor above us - those steps in the middle of the night are like nightmares that kept us awake.
The location is a walking distance to the beach, and they have their own parking space for $30 per day. The price is also cheap, especially when you're on a budget.
