How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Even if in booking the hotel is listed as free parking there is a daily bathroom needs renovation. It was not possible to regulate the water temperature and low pressure. Only two small towels for the shower. Freezing air conditioning! And it was not possible to regulate! Too pricy for the service provided.
The bed was really comfortable and the position was good!

Shower didn't work properly – hot water wouldn't work one day and the cold wouldn't work another, making the water scalding. Missing basic amenities like hairdryer and coffee machine. They were renovating the outside of the building in the mornings and woke me up the few nights I was there.
The location was great and the staff were friendly. A much more affordable option compared to other hotels in Midbeach, but you get what you pay for. Best used as a crash pad.

No hot water, wasn’t clean, I’m sure mold is growing due to the humidity coming in from the windows, hard beds, remote halfway worked.

There is just one general air conditioning for the whole hotel - it was not possible to regulate the temperature. So we were freezing in the room. Besides the room was quite dirty - the floor was sticky and sandy.
Some of the staff was quite nice.

The actual hotel was not the best. There was no hot water showering was difficult. There just needs to make some small changes for it to be. A really good hotel.
The staff were brilliant . They were helpful and went above and beyond. The location was very good too.

Got to motel late , was told no parking came with booking ! We ended up spending 150$ for parking across the street from hotel in a parking deck. The hotel only had 10 spaces for 50 plus rooms! I have never had to look nor pay to park on vacation! They didn’t say this in booking.com. We will continue to book now threw Expedia

Three stars is too much for what they offer. No phone in the room. The elevator is always not working. The quality of the bathroom is very cheap. Poor lighting and works in selective mode. Hot water take like ever to come. Broken TV remote or maybe it’s not working. No iron, hangers or coffee maker.

That the website lied. There is no private beach access, there’s a beach that you have to walk a couple blocks to get to. The rooms aren’t fully remodeled like it says, it’s a nice place to stay for cheap, but just don’t expect everything the website says. The floors were also very dirty in the rooms. We had to get moved to four different rooms. The bathrooms are so small you can hardly get in there with opening the door.

parking too expensive and the spot is not assured for you even though you’ve paid for it. some of the staff rude. bed made noises and we could feel all the noises from the other rooms above us. cleaning staff took our towels and we didn’t have any towel in our last day staying there.
