Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandAs a female traveller I didn't like that we weren't allowed to cover the pods during the day (just for changing clothes etc)
Very cosy, quiet hours are kept to so it is not hard to sleep. Staff and other residents kind, friendly and considerate

AustraliaOne shower and toilet and no door on the pods. Anywhere, I’ve traveled and stayed in pods they had doors for privacy. Also, lady in the office didn’t do what she said she would do on two separate occasions which caused me some stress. I called the office to pass on the message to wash clothes for me. This never happened until I returned to the accommodation and asked myself. Manager at location said he never got the message. The same officer lady said was also meant to bring me a phone charger I left in Hollywood out to Venice Beach. She promised me she would and she forgot. I called her three times and she confirmed every time that she would bring it. I told her it was no hassle for me to get a taxi and collect it. I just don’t want to be late for my flight. She didn’t bring it. I ended up being late for my flight as I got a taxi last minute when I found out she had forgotten. This was poor and untrustworthy.
Good location people at the place were friendly facilities were adequate.

MexicoBeing told that giving my email address is required to stay there. So, I guess people who don't use technology are not welcome here? Some people just do not want marketing emails. Apparently, they are also not welcome here? Seems like a terrible policy for a business to have.
Location. Super central to everything.

United StatesI’m a Senior woman relocating from Hollywood, it was FULL of men. Thought I was in a Frat house. Unless I asked a question, Maddie, the admin, never spoke to me, even when I greeted her. I remember being a young lady and chatting with young men. It was an important “service”. I was definitely a tenant, not a guest.
Breakfast?? The pod was comfy & private. I liked that. Got a lot done with your wifi.

United KingdomLocation is unsafe, only one bathroom for whole hostel (about 9 beds). Two of the beds are more like pods (much smaller in size with only enough room to sleep, but at same cost which seems unfair.
Off the Hollywood Boulevard, but area felt quite unsafe at night as it’s slightly away from the busier bit (Chinese theatre, Dolby theatre)

United StatesI had to sleep in something resembling a dog kennel. no air flowing inside a very narrow space. this pod was nothing like advertised. claustrophobic pod with no ventilation.. I felt deceived. the other pods were spacious with head room and freedom to stretch and move around. I couldn’t even sit up freely in this kennel space.
this was my most liked podshare as far as location, staff and interior.

United KingdomNothing concerning the property….just concern for a rather distressed guest in the bunk beneath….I think she is in need of deep care and attention. 😌
It’s uniqueness….finding that balance between the practical and the aesthetic is something that takes much consideration….found the experience nostalgic, personal, gratifying as well as necessary. Thank you all at PodShare 🧘🏼♂️🙏

United StatesBedbugs!
Place was dirty, the man working didn’t change the sheets and was constantly watching tv and hovering over everybody’s shoulder. Creepy vibes. I asked to transfer to the Melrose location which had bedbugs, and despite that they still wouldn’t give me a refund. Truly unbelievably bad, cannot recommend this place at all. Only good thing about it is that it’s close to the tourist attractions.

CanadaNothing, I would come back again on my next visit
The location is right near Hollywood Blvd stretch, very close to the Metro Line Subway. Walk of Fame is around the corner. The Hollywood sign, the beaches are within 1-1.5 hrs by subway. Everything is accessible. The ambiance is cozy and the place is clean. There is complimentary coffee too. There is a full kitchen if you wanna cook. I also like that guests can leave their bags till 10 pm of the check out date. Also, the guests are respectful of the quiet time, everyone is nice and friendly. Andrew, who manages the place, is very accommodating and nice. Bed is comfortable, place smells good, common areas are clean and it is safe during the night to get to the Podshare.

PanamaThere's only one bathroom, so if someone is taking a shower you have to wait a bit to use the bathroom, but it's not a big deal.
The space was huge and welcoming. Tons of room to work. Books, TV, a lot of outlets. Big kitchen. The guy who works here is really nice and made us feel super welcome. Also, the place has a sound room with a guitar and mics if you're a musician. I had a blast jamming in there.
