The closest beach is about a 30 minute walk/5 minute drive, but has very little parking. I definitely recommend driving down the road a little and checking out Hanalei beach. Also, if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs, because the roosters will wake you up at 5:30 :)

The condo was huge and definitely more than I expected! It was more than enough room for two people. Well stocked with kitchen appliances/utensils. The washer and dryer were a huge bonus. The pool was quiet and very clean. Everyone working there was very nice and helpful. Beach gear provided. Grocery story nearby. Plenty of parking.

Very clean, friendly staff, free bike rental for 2 hours, a lot of beach gear. Spacious apartment. Golf course around the corner, alongside with the tennis courts.

It didn’t bug me much at all, but the high shelfs in the utility closet need to be cleaned. I’m very tall, most people wouldn’t ever notice. Otherwise it was very clean when we arrived.

Wonderful scenic area. Chicken & roosters grazing. Friendly cats cared for by the facility. Pool and hot tub well maintained. BBQ at pool area was handy. Bikes available for checkout free of charge. Reasonable rental rate for boogie boards. Friendly staff. I love how my condo has a lot of screened louvers to the exterior. With the moderate temperatures I opened all of them to enjoy the breeze and birds.

The bedrooms had a very musty odor that was hard to get rid off.

The cottage was amazing. Staff were very friendly and warm and they addressed our issues and concerns immediately. We checked in after 12am. Even though they had told us that nobody would be around, we were met by a front office staff who handed over the keyes to us. I would highly recommend this property. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

I could hear the noise from the apartment above (walking, talking, TV...) It didn't bother me too much, but it is worth mentioning.

The apartment was great and fully equipped. The location was excellent. They provide beach chairs, bikes and cooler for free. The bike was great to visit Queens' bath. The staff is very nice and helpful. I would definitely come back.

Nothing really. The cottages had no a/c but even in hot humid August this was not a problem as unit was airy all day and cool at night.

The units were comfortable and in a good location. They provided beach chairs umbrellas cooler and beach toys which was considerate of them.

Something that no one has control over - the roosters! Apart from that everything was great.

The location was fantastic, very close to Hanalei Bay and Princeville shops. The property was well maintained and reception were very responsive to all of our queries. The rooms were spacious too.

concierge was crap. They have a number you can call coz it is not on-site. their voice mail keeps saying that they are at the beach and will call you back. I called a number of times and they never called me back. As it was our first time on the island, it would have been great to talk to someone who would have told us what to do and where to find the closest things. But we had to figure it out ourselves. That was really annoying. The room had no hot water. The water was mildly warm. We complained many times about it. They apologized but never fixed it. When the guy actually came to check it out, he told me that the hot water runs out because they had 3 guys living on the ground floor (??!?!?). I told him the water is cold no matter what time of day. Then he came back to tell me that it was for my own safety that the water was supposed to be cold...because i could burn myself (???!!!?!?!?). That was the one thing we really enjoyed after leaving Makai Club - a hot shower!!! You have to clean up the unit before you leave or you will get charged a cleaning fee. But that was okay. We were of course warned at check in that if we stain the beach towels, we will incur a fine. But I had already read that in the previous reviews so it was fine. Beach towels were returned stainless and clean :)

Great place. Not at all close to a beach unless you have a car. In fact unless you have a car, its difficult to stay here. But the room with a full kitchen was amazing. They don't have maid service but they had a broom and a vacuum cleaner in the room should you need it. Washing machine and dryer is well needed after spending all day on the beach. Located right behind a golf course so in the mornings its awesome to just go for a walk. I actually liked the roosters. Their crowing reminded me of old and simpler times. If you walk to the reception you can get beach chairs, board games and books for the length of your stay. There is a Foodland about a 2 minute drive away along with a place for shave ice. Loved the Cardinals and other birds that visited every morning. There were a few hiccups but overall I really liked the place, we ended up extending our stay for a full 7 days.

Nothing, really. It was all good.

The condo buildings are well apart from one another, separated by large, beautifully landscaped lawn areas. We could see Hanalei Falls in the distance from our balcony. The resort was quiet and relaxing during our weeklong stay. The staff members were knowledgeable and friendly. Juan, the young man who checked us in, gave us a thorough orientation and made us feel welcome. Upon learning our 44th wedding anniversary was coming up during our visit, Juan went into another room and returned with a bottle of wine for us -- a nice surprise for the start of our stay. The resort offers complimentary use of beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and bicycles, and rents out swim gear at a reasonable price. It also is a short distance from the road to the Princeville Shopping Center and Hanalei Bay, and to the walking path on the north side of the Makai golf course.
