How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It’s a little spendy for the value of the hotel.

It’s a little dated and no elevator. Air conditioner was fussy would get hot the cold.
Staff was helpful and there was a cool water park in the hotel. Wish I had time to use it

Pool area was overcrowded, we were unable to use. No fan in the bathroom. TV was functioning poorly. Breakfast hours should be posted.
Good location and nice facilities. Bar and restaurant attached.

Bed wasn't real comfortable. Room was spare. Towels were thin. Just felt like a budget hotel

Waterslide was pitch black. Also, didn't realize breakfast was over at 9am. Sad babies.

could use some finer touches. the room appeared clean but a bit worn. bathroom caulking was uneven and some grout lines weren’t even filled.

very difficult to arrange room being cleaned. Covid restrictions means not regular room cleaning. Clearly at this point hotel is using Covid as a reason to not staff cleaning.

Upon check in the desk person was very short and not very happy at her job. She was very curt and wanted me to initial that I had no pets and no smoking on the sign in sheet, I told her I do have a pet and it was confirmed with the hotel prior to my arrival. She stated "well you booked with a third party meaning booking.com so we have no control over that." I pulled up my email from the hotel but she wouldn't look at it. When the first person you meet after you come through the door is nasty, it sets a tone. I didn't see a name tag but she's a brunette with dark rimmed glasses and maybe she needs a little redirection in customer service.
Housekeeping staff was very pleasant and the room was clean.

The staff were very friendly. We got to this hotel in the middle of the night and the desk clerk was very helpful. In the morning a staff offered to help me carry our breakfast to our room and then let us extend our stay an hour. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Hot tub was dirty it was gross! Bed wasn't comfortable.
The breakfast was good and they had a good lounge area. The pool was nice. Big TV in room and recliner was very comfortable!

We found the entry to the whirlpool a little clumsy. Being in our 70s, didn't make having the entry close to a flat wall convenient. And exiting was more difficult than entering. But with the help of other guests, my wife was able to get out of the whirl pool. Having sufficient towels to dry down after the time in the whirl pool was a PLUS in convenience. We also noted that the walkways were beginning to settle away from the foundation of the entryways, making it a bit clumsy to get luggage in and out of the facility.
The hotel was relatively close to the highway we were traveling on. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the Whirlpool in the Pool area. The water was good and warm, and relaxed the body's reaction to the restrictions of traveling with not enough stretch stops. The room was clean and the air conditioning was able to keep the room comfortable through the evening and night. The breakfast was a charmer too. Order, pick up at the restaurant area, and either take it along, back to the room or in the breakfast area.

Bed was to firm but my opinion some like it firm.
The breakfast was great. There was a crack in the sink in bathroom. It was overall a good place to stay.
