How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The heating system was not working efficiently and the door area had too much of a gap letting a lot of cold air in. The site can stand some upgrading.

The bed uncomfortable and the pillows were nothing.
Staff and breakfast 😋 good. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows so used up you didn't even know you had any.

The hotel solicits a $150 cash deposit which is not mentioned during online bookin3via this app, and is also currently holding $123.50 in addition to the $177.51 room charge. Therefore booking this room cost me $451.01 out of pocket. I was reissued the cash deposit of $150 but at the time of this review my presumed deposit amount of $123.50 has not been refunded.

The breakfast was an assortment of brown sugary food that was largely not very healthy, but the coffee was warm and wet.
It was a typical US Motel - there was a walmart walking distance and some other stuff - but otherwise typical motel with a noisy AC unit in the room - standard!

Only thing is the pool was big but closed including the workout facility was closed also. I didn't know they both were closed when I booked it. I'm visiting my elderly parents so I needed exercise. Thanks to God I found a good walking trail. I pray they will open their pool and gym.
Everyone was very helpful nice people and the room was very clean. Cold air conditioning and refrigerator. Good value and late checkout.

Pool was not clean. Water was disgusting. First room had broken tv phone didn’t work Asked for another room had someone beating on door both nights we stayed.

Took quite a while to check in, there wasn’t anyone at the front desk initially. The room phone did not work, the TV (in both rooms we had) did not work and there was no repair man available to assist. There were not enough towels and washcloths in our room. I went to front desk and requested what we needed only to find I had received hand towels instead of bath towels.
The location for our purpose was very good.

The room stunk like someone had been smoking skunkweed in there and it was dirty it needed a sweeping and mopping. It looked like a place where you would bring a prostitute or do drugs

Located in a very dangerous area, staff is extremely rude, shower wasn’t working, we got checked in into a dirty room first, police got there at 3am banging doors next to us which made it impossible to rest, someone bang our door at 2am claming it was his room while we were already asleep and he actually had a set of keys to the room we were in

They never clean our rooms the entire three night. We had to wait to get clean towels and wash cloth. Housekeeper did not speak English Mens hanging around my room window Trying to see why I was charge and extra 144.91 , 75.35 and 75.35

The rooms were nasty. They smelled like mold and urine. They also had rodents. The sheets were dirty as well. When decided not to stay abd the staff claimed only the manager could issue a refund. The manager could not be reach, therefore we had to leave and call back the next morning for the refund. When I talked to the manager she took my information and said that the refund will be issued in 3 to 5 business days. Never received the refund and when I kept calling about it they gave me the run around. Staff is ghetto and management is horrible.
